Or a bluegrass version.

I like bluegrass.
Fun fact: The original novels had Haruhi singing rap and bluegrass in Live Alive rather than chick rock.

Tanigawa has no taste in music...

Even though this isn't the right thread for your question, and since Haruhi is licensed, sub groups can't be named anymore; however, the episode 14 thread quite possibly has your answer.

I'm relatively sure it's not something from the OST.

Gah.
This has been driving me nuts!

I need help finding the name of the song from episode 9 (the rainy episode not to get confused)
It's when Yuki & Kyon are only in the room and some classical music starts planning.
I've searched everywhere =__=;;

To bump this thread back up with a question..

I really liked the background music in this clip ---> http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=o7G5yIfnoEw

It was a guitar being played when Mikuru and Kyon were having the chat at the park. If anyone has the song or even the title to it, please send me PM.

Thanks!

Question

Hi sorry for bringing this thread up again, i found it through google. I have just started exploring animé as i have a new friend who is in to it, and really like this show so far. I was watching Episode 3 (well, part 3 - episode 4 in japan i believe. i don't quite get how it works yet lol) and when kyon is noticing how fast Haruhi runs and listing her peculiarities a really cool ska song plays, which also seemed to turn up somewhere in part/episode 4 too. Could anyone please tell me what soundtrack i might find this on, as well as the artist/song title? thanks x

p.s. apologies for not reading the whole thread, my eyes go weird if i read too much text online in one go and i can't scan-read online very well!

I love it when people make good comedy redubs of anime. It's so amusing.

EDIT:...embedding doesn't seem to work for some reason... ah well.

This is the court of Miracles dubed into the MOHS.

I just came back from the concert - wow. I estimated 300 performers on stage (not to mention the brass section that the score calls for having offstage.)

There was a lecture beforehand by a Mahler scholar, who gave some background to the music that people here might find interesting. He said that the music is about the life-will (will to live, and for life to exist) and how the life-will achieves its goal through Love - the meeting of the Eternal Masculine and the Eternal Feminine which creates the Spirit of Creation.

When you hear it described like that, you have to wonder how this music could avoid appearing here!

Ono Daisuke (Itsuki Koizumi) was the first person to learn the dance to Hare Hare Yukai. It is something that I could have predicted without reading though, that is really his style to do something like that.
