Due to the terrible streaming lag on the livestream yesterday, I missed a lot of scenes.

After watching it properly I really enjoyed it. I just wonder what the hell went into Yuuta's mind to even nab that Indirect Kiss.

I really can't wait for bits of romance to kick in. They're really a funny pair. On a side note that note passing is funny. I liked how Maaya Uchida is voicing Rikka.

So just a question. How much was original in this ep?

Four concepts were taken from the novel. One I'm not 100% sure on, but it sounded quite familiar, so I'm counting it. Everything else was original.

Chuunibyou Harem seems like the direction this show is going.

An Ex Chuunibyou who somehow acquires a Harem of Chuunibyous. Quite a unique premise in a tired genre.

Or, this could just be a Slice of Life show of Friendship.

Episode 3 was pretty amusing.
Liked that the girl in episode 2 joined.

Twintails girl was an interesting addition, especially the way Yuuta reacted to her appearing out of nowhere with the toy gun.

Nibutani was weird at the end when she kept winking.

Its kind of weird how the rest of the school reacts to Rikka's lines. They just go "what is she talking about" and then next second act like nothing strange happened. They're just taking it all very naturally.

But I mean this not as a slam against the premise. Chu->ning Lover features many different types of delusions, including believing one is a robot, and believing one is a hero of justice. There's also a dark magic user like Rikka, but she is merely one of many.

Plus, visual novels and KyoAni light novel adaptations are rather different beasts. I'm looking forward to both, just for very different reasons.

I can't believe it...Rikka has had a servant for 2 years?! That's pretty incredible really, at least the servant tests her master's worth in an intense duel of the sort!
Though Rikka being her master, I was hoping to see the difference shown, maybe if Yuuta didn't stop them...

I hope there's a rematch fight against Touka down the line...
It'd be nice to see the teamwork between Sanae and Rikka against Touka.
Even better if they can get the Dark Flame Master to return!

I look forward to pausing in embarrassment, being amused, slightly envious, and enjoying myself again next episode!

I dunno how to read Japanese so can't really say much. If this is true then color me hyped! I can see her trying to save Yuuta from regressing to Chunibyou.

I'm inclined to agree with this. I think she's joining to hide her chuunibyo past and Rikka to shut up about "Mori Summer". All that winking she's doing is just her hiding her motivation.

• Shinka: ex-Chūnibyō, probably more extreme than them all
• Kumin: don't care, as long as she can tag along to have her nap

But yeah Shinka(森夏) really is Forest + Summer, so it really confirmed Shinka's case. Actually rather than retired, i think Shinka is currently "under cover", considering how she requests the club name to change into Far Eastern Magic Nap Society of Summer. She's probably is establishing her base right here

Oh, btw, Rikka's sister: Touka not only awesome but can cook as well. Just remind you guys that i already had my dibs on her

looks like we have another rikka. good job on yuuta on using her hair to tie her up, surpised he didnt have that cliche reaction with having a (weird) girl in his room, maybe he's used to it??
though im actually quite surprised Shinka wants to join that fast. wonder why.....
and i would have definitely have joined the napping club if there was one

Kumin would be considered a "yutori (ゆとり)" (extremely laid back, has no sense of urgency and responsibility, goes with the flow and doesn't put effort into anything - an example of this character is Idolmaster's Hoshii Miki, whom also loves sleeping plus all of the above) which is another sign of immaturity just like chuunibyou.

This story's protagonist. A punctual, calm, and helpful lad. He's one of those boys doesn't stand out much these days. But to be honest, he suffered from a severe case of chuunibyou when he was in middle school. It was bad enough to drive away his classmates. Given a new chance in his high school career, he sealed away his past and vowed never to be infected again. But now that he's connected to Rikka, will his chuunibyou flare up again?

A girl suffering from chuunibyou. A somewhat intense girl who you shouldn't assume can't talk for a while. With her made-up power, the Devilish Truth Stare, she engulfs her surroundings (especially Yuuta). Though she's become attached to Yuuta, she has a severe fear of strangers and adapts a battle pose whenever she meets someone for the first time. Considerably clumsy, she often trips and forgets things.

One year ahead of the others. This possessor of a talent to sleep anywhere always carries a pillow in her bag. She's so carefree that she's able to create a warm, calm atmosphere wherever she goes. She also can invoke a talent "Cell Phone no Cell Phone" that increases the rate of her finding a lost item 7-fold.

A fellow companion to Rikka and Yuuta. She has the possibility to open the door to chaos wherever she goes.

Fallen ill to the same type of chuunibyou Rikka had, she also can go on a rampage greater than any in the rainy season. Naturally, she's a walking annoyance.

Beside the usual "great and fun" comment, I like Dekomori's introduction. Errupt and in your face (literally), but it fits here. One of the first anime staff interviews I read long ago was about Chobits and how much work they have to put into animate Chii-chan hair. So when I was watching this episode I can stop thinking about how much effort they have to put into animate Dekomori's twintails. Her hair really looks alive.

At this point I certainly don't convinced that Nibutani is going for Yuuta...yet. Her reaction to the indirect kiss scene at the beginning doesn't go well with that theory. I hope we'll find out soon why she joined the club.

And if I don't mistaken, Yuuta call her "Rikka" the first time in that scene at the gate at night, right? I'm surprise Rikka showed no reaction. Maybe she was too busy pouting.
