That is what I am also thinking. Jellal kept going on about someone with power similar to Zeref or something and it would be a BIG twist if it was Kagura.

Future Lucy was in the same area as Kagura, when Jellal felt something.

Regarding Erza being save by something, I highly doubt it. Only if Erza had a edolas brother who went to Earth land blah blah... XD

it's highly likely, Mashima always likes to do that. He wouldn't dare to slash Erza, one of the main character, until with that much blood. She has plot armor there.

It's a 'no-win' situation in regards to Kagura's anger, and of course, Erza feels responsible for everything that happened during the 'Tower of Heaven'.

And even if both Natsu and Erza had said that Simon died protecting them, that just leaves the obvious conclusion that Jellal killed him - no way to mince the words on that one. Kagura's got every right to be upset with Jellal, even more so since she and Simon were siblings. And since she knew that Simon loved her... she feels that if Simon didn't love her, that he wouldn't have died to protect her... She's the reason that Simon died so she feels responsible for it. Of course, the guilt trip of knowing that she has a chance to enjoy a relationship with Jellal despite what happened with all parties involved.

I've always wanted Jellal to get some consequence for blasting Simon (then laughing about it), beyond what Natsu did to him... but of course, I never wanted Erza to be the one to suffer for it.

Gray, hurry up and save her... >.<

And if Minerva did switch-out Erza at the last second for someone else... Moral Event Horizion has been reached.

Well it was nice to see Erza lose but was it for long? We saw same thing against Azuma and then she used big nakama power and dominated him -_-

Whoever that blood was, it's not Erza's that's for sure. Most likely Kagura's or Milliana's because I really doubt that our cheater would let it end fairly.

For one Kagura seems stronger than Erza and Erza is already all beaten up. Obviously Erza is the best choice to fight now. My guess is that Minerva has slashed Kagura before she could get her sword out.

Otherwise Kagura's story is kind of disappointing but oh well.

it has to be minverva switched out erza for milliana. Kagura had no reason to stab herself(unless her swords power worked that way) and erza has main character protection. Killing milliana would mad kagura and erza into beast mode and the fight would begin again.

well, considering Kagura was a nobody 7 years ago, and Shonen manga are typically consistent with power levels being the same within family, Kagura probably made a deal with someone, possibly Zeref, and received Archenemy and powers to beat Jellal. Perhaps a part of the deal is something like she'll gain insane power if she releases the sword, but it'll cut her too or something like that

the problem with it is that Kagura's hatred of Jellal is based off of milliana who doesn't know the story behind simon's death and honestly as for 7 years ago we don't know that for sure considering that We didn't even know about Mermaid Heel and Quatro Cerberus before the tourney.
As for the whole nobody thing keep in mind Elfman whose probably equal to gray beat bacchus whose as strong as erza (granted he used a cheapo trick) plus for some ironic reason Erza has struggled against female swordsman. Remember the Ikaruga fight on the Tower of Heaven we'll see wat happens but honestly im not sure what everyone's outraged about

Why is Kagura's power-level not reasonable? Her target was a Wizard Saint who is on par with Master Makarov, who is many times stronger than Erza. 7 years is a long time for one to level up in the world. That sand guy had pre-2nd Origin Natsu on the ropes. And from other stories like Naruto, we know how "hate" can motivate. All I'm saying is, Kagura has the time and the motivation to become deadly.

But then Second Origin let Natsu steamroll the Twin Dragons without even powering up. And Erza got the same treatment. You can argue it might not have boosted her as much, but then she had that 100-monster showing with the (supposedly) Wizard-Saint-level boss monster.
