EMS is the more expensive shipping, but usually means you'll get the item in a week.

Personally I normally always use EMS for figurines... it's the fastest, safest, and compared to the other options the best. For example, at least on cdjapan but it's probably about the same on HLJ, the next slowest option (registered airmail I think) is only like 5 bucks cheaper normally... but takes like double the time. And don't even get me started on the others which can start taking close to 2 weeks and can take 45 days or more!? Maybe for something like a magazine or other cheap (well in relation to figurines) thing... but for figurines it's EMS whenever possible for me.

Edit: Just went to the Hayate page on HLJ and found this...

Hmmm..... 400 yen less (roughly 4 bucks) for shipping that can take up to 45 days? No thanks. Although in general that 5,400 yen for shipping is questionable anyways... I mean thats like 200 bucks for one figurine?! Just how big is she? >_> (mine hassn't arrived yet lol, but I didn't order from HLJ since they didn't have it up for the longest time and I was worried about not getting it)

Ugh, I really wanted the Alter Hayate figurine, but with the currency exchange sucking so horribily, the price for it went up from $90 Canadian to $130, before shipping.

Cancelled and decided to order the Hayate figma and Hatsune Miku figmas instead.

Just got back from picking up my Alter Hayate figure from the post office . The box is HUGE . First thing I'm gonna do when I get home is open it up and make room in my small showcase. For now she has to sit boxed up in my trunk as I toil away at my desk .

Yeah, mine just came in too. Not a small model! Also a bit tricky to find a good spot to display it - the angle of her legs means that anything much above eye level just has her flashing the viewer. Not that some of you will mind... ;p

Finally collected my Alter: Yagami Hayate from a local Hobby Shop, and the box is epic! Have already assembled her and she's posing pretty in my display cabinet. This is my first anime figurine purchase, and I am really happy about it.
