A proper 'serious' episode, so long as they keep this balance and not try to make it too dramatic they'll be fine

Samurai Bride 08 - The Treatment Person
Everything ties up really nicely. Jubei gives Inshun the nickname of "Inko", which is more of a bird's name, and it turns out she's controlling the crows. And the blobby thing that comes with them. I wonder if that stone will give the Dark Samurai an edge in some way - the question of why they were revived in the first place was brought up. But there's still the matter of who did it, and why. I liked Matabei and Hanzo spending some time together and questioning their purpose, and it looks like one of them may very well fulfill it next week. Unless the title's teasing us and Gisen is the new Master Samurai or something (though she already has a significant amount of power, even if some of it was knocked out during the whole revival thing.) I think at this point, Mataemon is the only one of the Dark Samurai who hasn't been highlighted in any significant way. And I want her to be. That hula hoop scene has endeared her to me in ways the show hasn't followed up on. |

That was a pretty nice episode. The focus was on Hanzou and Matabei for once, who haven't gotten a lot of screentime in either this season nor the last. It seems like they're finally about to become master samurais at long last. Their loyalty will remain with their ladies though, but since their ladies are loyal to Munakira, it's all the same.
I thought Mataemon was the blob too, but it is weird she didn't know Yukimura was a master samurai. I suppose it's possible she loses her memories while in that form. We'll most likely find out next week, since the blob is in the preview tentacle raping Sen (looks very lewd).

YES. This is the episode my buddy and I have been waiting a season and a half for! FINALLY Matabei and Hanzo get wet for Muneakira. Even Sen caught them as they stared at him.
Confirmed new Master Samurai next episode too. And it's either going to be Matabei or Hanzo (please be Matabei). Overall great episode. Jyubei is so cute, and I'm glad she was able to make friend's with Ink. Another reason why Jyubei is so special, she's kind to everyone. And finally, what's up with Gisen? She's been away for quite sometime. |

The blob(its a chick... WELCOME TO ANIMU) ntring Sen in the scene would make me think its Hanzo. Character design-wise its a complete facelift which I find to be pretty insane.
I'm guessing they don't know how to integrate Gisen thats probably why we only see her for a panel or two. We'll probably see more of her in the the later episodes. Probably in one of the last two eps. When we see the stone we'll probably see more of charles! Yay! More charles!

I'm just waiting for three things. 1) Who is the blob monster? 2) How is Gisen going to get how powers back? 3) How they'll end the series? The only sad part is I feel that Samurai Girls is the "side project" in Hobby's arsenal. A series they need to fill the void when they're busy making a new Queen's Blade. Cost to production its probably cheaper. Secondly you don't really need that many VAs.. Since even characters like Charles and Sen's brother practically appeared for minute of two. From what Keiji mentioned it could lead to a potential third season. Faction. YEAH SAMURAI GIRLS ACTUALLY HAS FACTIONS! Who Knew?!
