The words to describe your annoyance I can think of them Nakama power. That's about as boring as it gets such a damn shame id love to say this was Wendy's moment but really no it wasn't. a simple excuse to let her win when she fails an interesting move to save her and then well yea I don't know how to say it but BOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGG

its not nakama power... one doesnt simply just have nearly a whole chapter of self sacrificing and nakama moment only to have it totally ruined at the last 2 page just like that.... JUST LIKE THAT

The manga should have ended this week with that big explosion, so we could at least guess whether Wendy and Carla could survive or not for a week or two... The suspense is totally gone now.

Well better than leaving us thinking she's dead only to have a cop out that she isn't. Well this is fairy tail, no one dies, so.... there is no "omg is so and so dead?", it's a guarantee they'll live, just like Bleach.

like seeing wendy dragon force act like how i believe she should be in fights. she uses wind, you would think she would be the fastest of the dragonslayers. the tear eye moment does hit hard until you remember this is fairy tail and no one dies.
i can say that killing off wendy would have been epic and no one would have seen it coming. glad she survive, there just one think I am wondering: HOW IN THE HECK DID HE EVEN KNOW THEY WERE THERE!!!

I think I would have been MORE pissed off if they allowed us to think she was dead only for her to get a cop out later... having her come out alive several chapters from now would just result is readers hating the development even more, because then we might get a sense of how much of an impact her death had, and hate when that impact is lost. Either way the emotional impact of the moment will be lost; might aswell kill it sooner rather than later.

Go, Wendy. Kicking ass once she gets the spotlight and I freaking loved it.

Personally, I'm glad Doranbolt was there to save Wendy and we saw it in this chapter rather than later on. People might say "Oh, but death flags and stuff" or "Deus ex Machina bullshit" but I say "THE LOLI LIVES" and there is no greater crime than killing a lovable loli like Wendy.

Closet pervert saves the day! I don't mind the ending and the build-up was well-made, the fight was cool and there were big ol' explosions and color pages n' shit. What's not to like?

Well, considering Cobra told Doranbalt all about Face, I guess it's not so farfetched to see him there. Maybe just late enough for Mashima to milk that "our-soon-to-be-dead-characters-are-going-to-die-so-be-sure-remember-them-before-they-pass-away-forever" montage for all it was worth.

Mashima pulls of the whole wild/berserk look pretty well on almost, all his characters. The end to the fight was rather abrupt but meh, at least the enemy didn't have time to go "This ain't even my final form :O :O :O"

I liked seeing Wendy just go all out on her opponent but I already knew she wasn't going to die. I doubt the author would kill off one of the dragonslayers before he reveals why all the dragons left. Not to mention that this is Fairy Tail so barely anyone dies, I just didn't expect Doranbalt to be the one to save her.
