Grr, Imageshack is really pi$$ing me off with their links. They seem to have adopted some auto-focus crap on their image links, so if I use Opera and open a link to an image in background using middle mouse, it still focuses on that page when it loads. It really irks me when companies try and dictate how my pc behaves

Back to the topic: Nice pics, despite the annoyance of Imageshack

Saw the first ep, and I have to side with those that prefer this to Shana. Shana was irritating to me, whereas ruizu/louise managed to avoid that, so far...

I really like the light-sided-ness of the show so far, I guess I'm not in the mood for "save the world from x, y, z" at the moment.

Just watched the first episode, too, and I know I'm going to like this series.

Louise saying "Urosai" got me laughs, I had just watched Shakugan no Shana-tan before watching this. If I closed my eyes, I could easily say I was watching a Shakugan no Shana OVA. However, the episode itself got me laughs and smiles, didn't get any bad impression from it. I'll see how the battles will suit this, but I am expecting no less from J.C. Staff.

the trailer got me interested. and after watching the 1st episode, it left me wanting for more. can't wait for the next one.

I immediately liked the characters, both the female and the male. it just tickled my fancy.

all I can say is that it's a series I would be looking forward to. I give the ep 01 4 out of 5 stars.

Ok, the first episode was very good. Both the characters reminded me of Shana and Yuuji. I think this is going to be a great show, I'm looking foward to next episode.

This has actually been one of the few serieses this season that I was geneunly interested in, and it actually did not dissapoint.

Louise is a cute bossy tsundere, and though I fear her antics might get old soon, she seems to have enough room to develop; and if she doesn't get stuck in her annoying bratty state for too long she will be quite lovable. But I must say I do appreciate her SNM tendencies, this could be fun. But the real surprise for me was the fact that I actually like Saito a lot. He is not a wuss or an idiot. The guy goes for it to get at the pretty boy and he has decent powers that he isn't afraid to use. Beats nearly half of male leads in most of the anime I watch.

In other word we got another series based on a light novel (look how many hits we had from these lately!), a Harry Potter-esc setting, and an interesting male-lead. I am sold!

The novel sounds cool. Ah, too bad they didn't really show the little details as you mentioned, but I think the anime showed the gist of what they needed so far; maybe they'll show Saito's powers more in depth later to be more dramatic.

I'm enjoying this series quite a lot. Many compare it to Shakugan no Shana due to the same seiyuu doing the male and female leads, but I think this show is quite different in the feel and the characters. Here's another summary and pic site.

His determination coupled with his newly acquired powers, makes him virtually omnipotent. Great tsundere Louise action! I've decided not to forget about the Shana similarities, and instead, enjoy the reverse mode role they're in. Ah, loli Louise is the perfect doujin bait. Hm, as for Siesta, a rather generic Horie Yui being played here (make that, Hocchan being asked to voice herself). At least she gets third billing in the credits. Good pacing and quite enjoyable. Louise's undressing scene was borderlining censorship. (Now that I think about it, this was pretty much the peak of Louise's fan service, so you might as well enjoy them here ) Just like I thought, Saito dropped his notebook PC in the anime rather than having it with him like in the novel. There were a few interesting scenes involving Louise and Saito's PC, so it's a pity that they won't be shown. Siesta makes her first appearance. ^^ Luckily, her design and voice are both very fitting in the anime. Unfortunately, the Saito x Siesta scenario gets very little coverage until much later. But I gotta say, this girl can do some crazy things. Keep an eye on her. The fight between Guiche and Saito was the first major combat scene in the story, and showed off Saito's "hidden powers" for the first time. Personally, I think this scene lacked heat in the anime: the portrayal of the more extreme elements in the fight, such as Saito's busted arm, as well as having his face being stepped on, were omitted. And the climax where Saito takes the sword and obliterates all the golems was brushed by very quickly (all 6 golems in maybe 2 seconds?). It would've been cool if they took more time here to portray Saito's superhuman speed and power. Overall, it was a nice episode. Despite the complaints, none of them really applies if you never read the novel. And if I don't think about the novel, this episode is actually done quite well. Next week is Kirche's turn to, er, attack Saito. The lucky bastard.
