according to a tweet by Hiro Mashima, it seems that the Fairy Tail x Rave special will be adapted into an anime OVA. Sweet!

I hope Tomokazu Seki and Ayako Kawasumi reprises their respective roles as Haru and Elie. Thinking back, Mashima tweeted something about a "good news". Because of this, it makes me think that Rave Master's anime will finally have a continuation. Though I've already finished the manga, I've been dying to see the rest of Rave animated.

No, this crossover OVA was definitely the "good news" he was talking about. They aren't going to go to the expense to animate a series that ended years ago.

I am not finish with Rave yet, still on episode 2, but damn! I would love to see the characters from Rave animated and looking sharp. Rave was done so long ago... I feel old to remember it.

wow will be awesome, really waiting, and waiting for OVA 5 and for return of the regular runs i'm start to believe who we only gonna get FT anime back in the next year after a 3 seasons pause this gonna give to mashima enough time to be far ahead with the manga from anime and i also believe who we gonna get another filler arc not so to big like the previous but something like 13 to 20 episodes, after the end of gmg arc in anime to give even more free space to mashima work.

TBH, I don't know why rave anime was stopped back then, it was pretty good series. Then again, it ws a serie where they have an clear end goal compare to fairy tail.

for what i read was because RM get a very poor reception in anime and manga salles start to fall due to the peoples dont like the too "much dark" and tragedy, until today mashima still being blamed for the death of the count of jellal in rm, many fans hated his death and others mashima "tragic decisions" then this was the reason who mashima wanted FT be more "light" and happy.

You apparently missed the news a while back. Chapter 298 will be receiving an OVA adaption, that will be released with the limited edition of volume 38 of the manga. The Rave crossover was just announced, and will be released with volume 39 of the manga.

Ah oh yea I forgot about that.

The rave crossover news must have made me forget any other non released crossovers.

When I saw teh swimsuits things, I was thinking "this doesn't look like the whole training ova we got recently" And doesn't look liek rave, so was confused.
