Same here actually, even if I've already been spoiled on certain major plot points of the game through sheer cultural osmosis. Much like RE2 Remake was my first actual playthrough of RE2's story despite having played 4 & 5, I'm hoping to play FF7 Remake to see what the deal is.

Also realized from other people: Tifa had her boob size nerfed, but in return they gave her zettai ryouiki. As a legs man, this pleases me

Wasn't Tifa's chest size already "nerfed" in Advent Children? Anyway, while I actually prefered her AC design, the new one is is perfectly fine. Coming from a die-hard VN fan where overblown breast size is certainly no foreign concept, so humble me

I'm not surprised they gave her a black sorta undershirt under her tank top this time. The FMVs of the original game made it very clear that she only wore that tank top, and the bounce physics indicate she might not even been wearing "support" underneath, which all left very little to the imagination.

On that note, many of the shown fights look pretty much identical to their original counterparts. I've played the original so much I could probably do it blind and on sound effects alone.

If you want to make Tifa SJW-safe, wouldn't you start off by covering her rather ample abs first and removing all instances of exposed skin especially on her arms? Also, giving her thighhighs is improving her overall design, because absolute territory. (It actually reminds me of where Nintendo "censored" Hikari from Xenoblade 2 for her Smash Ultimate appearance by giving her black leggings, yet ironically doing so only made her look more lewd ).

Besides, having seen discussions of similar veins elsewhere, as someone who's never played the original game it does seem that Tifa's frontal assets weren't as big as players tend to remember them.

Heck yes, good ol’ nostalgia and awesome new combat dynamics. I really love how the combat gameplay is looking.

Love the gameplay, might buy the game. And Broflakes are weird complaining just because a character from a game 20 years ago got wardrobe update and still sexy.

I'm a bit worried about the lack of exploration in the trailer. Most of it is just action and cut scenes. I get why they'd want to concentrate on that though, so I'll just wait more.

Well, yeah, because it looked absurd in the original game. But the size here is a further downgrade from Advent Children.

And boobs are not a trivial issue!

At least can say the combat looks good and as a whole the character designs seem on point. I would like to see more other aspects to the gameplay since they've got to expand on things in order to let this first part of the remake be a full experience in itself.

My gut on the Tifa thing is that she was nerfed a bit, but not as much as I thought she might have been. And her design overall is still great. Her English voice sounds good and her combat should be fun to switch to. If nothing else with this first game only really giving you half of the main roster she'll get plenty of time to stand out as a main combatant.
