That's a tough hit at the end when Akame turned on the cute (not that she really lacked it in the first place ). In the end it made sense. Better to be hard on Tatsumi and possibly get some resentment than have him die during the first mission. Really it's a good thing he had good reaction timing or he might have actually gotten killed there.
Overall a solid second episode. Get the introduction to the group, a bit more time for Tatsumi to grieve his friends losses, and a pretty solid fight at the end. I guess the question is whether all these targets are going to make it easy for Tasumi to fight them? The one girl practically begged to be killed and this guy went out of his way to create motivation for Tatsumi to overpower him. May not be as easy down the road.

Hmm... not a bad second ep, I guess.
Still, personal taste wise hack n slash gets boring quick. Well, will try the next ep as well, but thus far the series really isn't doing much for me.

There are a number of modern things and ideas integrated into the medieval setting of Akame ga Kill. Guns, clothing, other electronics... It's got a pretty diverse setting in terms of time periods.

I'm really digging this show. The MC is likable and the action sequences are great. Also the OST continues to amaze.
I'm strongly considering reading the manga. I'm just trying to think if I should read it now, or after I'm done with the anime. |

A bit of a bore, this episode is; but then again, this was exactly how I felt back when reading the manga chapter. The comedy nor the action had really taken hold at this point.
The only complain I can really lob against the anime is that there are far too many disjointed and sudden transitions, which gave the overall episode a very jarring pace. |

Akame has such a cute smile.
I liked the introduction to the other members and seeing how they consider themselves murderers even if what they are doing is right. I also liked how Akame was only hard on him because she wanted him to survive his mission.

Pretty good second episode. In a sense this a really good training/introduction episode. It not only introduces to all the members of the Night Raid (all of which are unique let's say) and also let's Tatsumi train hard to finally join the Night Raid and be expected as one of them (well partially there's still Mine to be convinced). That ending though when Akame was smiling was so unexpectedly cute. I did not expect that from her character. Some people are saying that they have skip half of chapter 2 thus making this terribad and ruins the entire thing. Will guess what they can still do it and will. Even though I haven't read the manga I have fairly solid idea what that section was about but I won't spoil. Let's just say it is still possible and more likely they'll do that the beginning of next week episode. Adaptation of anything doesn't mean they're going to do a chapter by chapter panel by panel route. It means they'll adapt it appropriate for the format it's using. And this White Fox were talking about one's that are well known for adapting complicated source materials faithfully (Steins;Gate, Jormungand, Katanagatari). So if they can do those faithfully I'm pretty sure this one is walk in the park for them (but it might change so who knows).

If I can ignore most of the side characters being stereotypical (pink haired girl has an attitude/annoying, token perv guy, etc), I think Ill enjoy this.
That being said, Im totall gar for the Boss
