I haven't got my copies of my magazines but all I know was Lelouch was ranked No.1 for both Animedia and Animage (by a margin of 2 votes). Suzaku, C.C. and I think Kallen and Rolo is still within top 30.

This month Animage featured a top 100 characters ranking. Some of the characters like Xingke and Gino are practically fallen way too far from the usual top 30.

Yes, Lelouch was 2nd last month. This month, he barely managed to reclaim his throne from the devil butler with the difference of only 2 votes.

In terms of popularity that the poll stands for, then yes, they are the "best".

As for Lelouch "losing" his shining-popularity, as in last month, i find it rational. Kuroshitsuji is now being aired/serialized, while Geass has ended since 4 months now. The fact that Lelouch still manages to be between 1st place and 2nd, shows a lot.
C.C though, is always the first in the latest rankings? Can someone confirm this for me? For curiosity's sake.

In animage i don't know, but in Newtype, apparently, yes.

There is no general ranking with both gender in NT, there is a males ranking and females ranking. C.C. is still the #1 in the female ranking.

It is not really a matter of "who should be" or something like this, it is just popularity. Matter of taste. I know i would not vote for her for first place though.

As said by the others, it's a matter of taste and the choices of people are not always revelant to the show. What I said was a joke (about them being the best characters).

I mean, a person will vote for C.C. just because she/he likes her design. It doesn't mean that she/he thinks she's the best female character plot-wise.
