Whoa, judging from the character designs this looks pretty crazy stuff. Wonder if it'll be up to the fight with Seto no Hanayome for the WTF comedy of the season. Anyways, I might be checking out an episode... in like three months. Seriously, I'm extremely busy right now and I can barely keep up with the seres I'm following already, so...

Shame really, as Junpei is very cute (if he was a girl mind). But there's at least one other character of dubious gender, so I suspect it's purposefully confusing. |

I've finally watched the first 3 episodes. Boy, this is such a stylistic show with an entertaining plot! I don't usually pay much attention to the visual in either of OP/ED theme, but I'm mesmerized by the ED theme visual. I've made a point to watch it in every viewing of the 3 episodes.
So far I've watched and deleted all of my RAWs, but these episodes for this show I'll be keeping.

I've only seen two episodes of this show but I'm loving it. It seems to have both a light and a dark side to it, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the two finally connects.
I love the style of the art and animation too. Although it seems so simple at times, it's really effective at conveying what it wants to convey, and the fluid monster sequences are great. |

And Shinsen-subs seems to have the first release. I'm so overjoyed to see a sub for this exceptionally stylish show. I personally think this show is a hidden gem of this prolific Spring 2007 season. Thank you so very much Shinsen. Hopefully, you will catch up to the latest episodes in no time.

Finally watched the first episode. All I can say is, it looks great. The colorful characters, artistic and high quality animation, matching voices and music, are just a few good points...
Started on separate ways: fireworks, funny looking chibi old men, outlaw(s), stupid samurai policeman, a possible heartbroken transvestite, completely unrelated characters regarding the jobs (locksmith, some kind of ... performers), space ninjas, (maybe transforming) demon fights, etc, and all paths will cross at a single person, and his rocket sending mission to moon (or just space). I can't wait to see the next subbed episode. |

I'm watching the show and I hear a voice actor from Ayakashi Ayashi. My reaction, "Oh! That's Torii-sama!" Then I hear the name of his character on Oh! Edo Rocket... It seem that Norio Wakamoto is playing Youzou Torii on two different shows. Wow. I guess he's been typecast. lolol.
Edit: I just read the notes that Shinsen added to the end of the episode. It seems that my observation above isn't really needed. But I still find it funny to hear the same voice and same role on two different period shows. It's like Colin Firth playing Mister Darcy.

Initial thoughts:
1. I had no idea what was going on most of the time 2. They could have given me 22 minutes of the guys shouting "Police! Police!" and it would have been one of the best series of the spring 3. I had no idea what was going on most of the time 4. Love the music, from the American jazz backgrounds to the bubble-gum J-pop ED 5. Not one, but two gender-benders in the very first ep. Impressive! 6. I had no idea what was going on most of the time |
