Honestly, I'm not even upset that they canceled it. What I am upset about is them not even having enough respect for their fans to be honest with them. More than that, they pulled that "if don't agree with me, then you can't read Japanese" stunt that would get you labeled as a troll on most forums and is completely insulting to those of us who have invested so much time and effort into learning the language.

It's this kind of crap that alleviates guilt from downloading scanlations.

waaaa finding out how rin's mother died sure was painful...ahh yes so much so that i was on the verge of crying when we see all those paper cranes around her bed and rin there silent...with her big eyes and the final message left behind "sorry..." ~ big shock for both of them well everyone in fact...why does it have to be the good ones that are killed off? well with this being a taboo type of relationship maybe god was being mean and decided to piss on what was already doomed by society ~ *sigh* what a tough life :/ Aki is truly a character to be missed...

I have read every chapter, and I still cant see any trauma that would make her behavior like that. She is just a 21 year old young lady, in a 10 yr old body! If she was over 18, I have no doubt in my mind she would have a segment in Girls Gone Wild (my brother subscribes lol)

Basically Rin has the flu (I think?) and Seki is putting something akin to Vick's VapoRub on her. She comments about school, and Seki makes a "like heck you will" remark.
Then, he notices that her breasts are growing, and he remembers when she used to have none at all. Then, he's thinking about how they'll be big when she grows up, and remarks about how he'll be "bound to that beautiful angel Rin."

So, rather than getting off at loli Rin, he's fantasizing about the day she becomes an adult. Once again, context triumphs
I have no idea why Rin is suckling on Usa. I think maybe this page doesn't belong with the rest. The only dialogue consists of Usa saying "ouch," so there isn't much to go on.

Actually we now knew Reiji has a obsession about Aki.

And he has plans to.....breed Rin into a split image of Aki after witness Rin's growth, thus continues the relationship where Aki has left off so that he may have "deliverance from his past".

And Rin, being in a feverish state, began having delusion and hallucination about her mom. When Usa visits and she notice her huge bosom, things develop from there.

just finished reading chapter 27...
and... uh... that band-aid scene gives me a feeling of the haunting of the "child-porn" vibes come back again.
If a licensor is (ever) going to pick up KnJ, then the best thing to do would be to slap an 18+ rating on KnJ and shrink-wrap it... because I would definitely agree that chapter 27 is definitely a hot-potato for the angry mob who cry "think of the children!"

About the possible trauma... maybe it could involve Rin's dad? I've been scanning my theories of personality (for my new job) and Rin's story really coincides with Anna O. Anna O was the main reason for why Sigmund Freud put out his controversial (and, admittedly, questionable) psycho-sexual theory in the first place.

Here's a long story cut short:

Anna O. was a patient of Freud's colleague, Joseph Breuer. Coincidentally with what you said about the age of a 21-year old stuck in a 10-year old body, Anna O. was 21 years old at the time she had various illnesses that had no physical basis. This was *after* her ailing father, whom she loved and cared for, had died.

Anna would talk to her therapist, Joseph Breuer, and whenever she would do so, her symptoms went away one after another. But she could only do this with Breuer, and ONLY Breuer. Both were slowly falling for each other. (Rin definitely likes Aoki... and let's face it: Aoki likes Rin, but uses his brain over his penis.. much like what Breuer is going to do later in the story)

And, what do you know, she began spreading the news that she was pregnant with his child in what was known as "hysterical pregnancy'. (Now who do we know acts like this in our little manga? ) Breuer abruptly cut his sessions and lost all interest in curing hysteria.

It's Freud who then came up with what Breuer didn't want anyone else to know: secret sexual desires were at the bottom of all these hysterical neuroses.

Anna ended up in a sanatorium. Eventually, she became a respected and active figure of society -the first social worker in Germany, in fact- but under her true name... which can be easily googled.

So... maybe Rin has a displaced Electra complex? But it can't be totally justified since she has the hots for Aoki instead of her more immediate father-figure, Reiji. But then again, Reiji seems to be rather permissive, showing a chummy and over-protective"onii-chan" impression rather than an authoritative and parental "oto-san" impression... that means Aoki is the substitute father-figure for Rin...

Your theory had already been presented earlier by me here in this very thread.

You don't have to think too deeply into Rin's psychology, it's just a very simple crush by a very sharp and smart girl who's thinks and knows beyond her physical age but lacks the emotional maturity to handle the matters.

Freud's case is very different, first the subject in your argument is of a young adult who's immature for her age, not at all like Rin.

Second, Beuer and Aoki may share similarites in their positon, but since Anna o and Rin share no similarities, I'm afiaid your argument holds no ground. Besides, Aoki is no Humbert, he cares deeply for Rin because she's his charge.

What I'm more interested now is what Reiji sees in Rin now that she's on the verge of Womanhood....
