I don't have the exact information, but it's time-based. Someone with an account that's only a few months old will be able to give 0 points (it shows up as a grey box), and then it goes up. About a year or two ago I think rep from my account was worth four points, and rep from NoSanninWa was worth six (perhaps by virtue of the fact that he's a moderator). So the older your account is, the more power you have, in a sense

To add to that. Repping power comes from a few more places. Like you said, account creation also affects it (as in duration), along with how much rep the person currently have, their post count too (but i'm not sure about this, this one is mainly suspicion, but I thought I heard of this from somewhere in Asuki)

There are many rumors about what atributes affect reputation power, but we don't want to encourage posting on the subject. We have modified the default settings that come with the vB forum software, so only moderators can know the answer for sure. All I will tell you for certain is that negative reputation is only half as powerful as positive reputation.

Quick rep question: How do you do "neutral" rep (the grey colored rep)? I don't see an option for it. Only positive and negative. I could be mistaken I guess...

You cannot choose "neutral" rep, it is chosen for you.

Neutral rep was chosen as either positive or negative rep. It comes out neutral if the rep-giver either has a very low reputation (under 10 I think) or else hasn't posted very many times. This keeps newbies and disliked people from influencing the reputation of others.

More stupid than silly...

Q. Is there a easy simple way to flip a video on the horizontal axis? (presume soft-subs or no subs)
It's more interesting to re-watch episodes that way.
Besides the minor nuisance of mirrored text, everything is pretty much the same,
...with just a slightly different.

For videos with no subs, you could try to use the advanced settings of the graphics card, many of them support horz/vert flipping.

on mplayer try

-vop flip,...
Flip image upside-down.
-vop mirror,...
Mirror image on Y-Axis (vertical axis)

edit:

@xris, I wanted to write that too, but it is actually very impractical (though, with a beamer no problem)

Actually, wouldn't the image then be flipped by the vertical axis instead?

flipping the horizontal axis means that left becomes right and vice versa.
You are confusing the term I believe.

I was thinking over the horizontal axis...

Horizontal axis is the same as the X-Axis right?

Indeed, it is the X axis.
"over" the axis is indeed putting the image upside down, but that wasn't what cats asked I thinK

Afaik...

France:
L = luxury/deluxe
Swiss/Germany:
S = superior

It basically allows for something like giving half stars. Or in the highest segment (5stars) it means extraordinary luxury.

There is no standard viewing resolution, but we try to keep it friendly (with banner and signature sizes) for resolutions as low as 800x600. Pesonally I'd recommend much larger though.

I was only wondering about this due to the 2 line restriction in the signature. I know on my older LCD my resolution was only 1024x768 and I swapped to a CRT for my photoshopping needs and i'm at a 1360x1024 resolution right now. Because on my brothers LCD which is at a resolution of 1280x1024 my signature was on 3 lines. So I thought I have made a mistake on the length of it.
