Well out of about 250 shots a few had to turn out OK.

As for palces if you visited Helsinki the chances are you visited all of the places those photos were taken. Etelä- and Pohjoisesplanadi and Kauppatori.
(Södra och Norra Esplanaden och Salutorget nära Södra hamnen, där de flesta av de svenska färjorna anländer.)
Yeah I know my Swedish sucks badly.

Loved the architecture in your recent photos there, especially the 2nd photo with the statues (they have good contrast against the backlground with their color). Where were those taken?
See above.
To be a bit more generic. In a small park in the central Helsinki and an old seaside market place next to it.

Yet more photos.
Taken at Hietaniemi cemetery. Quite interesting sculptures in the old tomb stones. I have been struggling with photography a bit as well lately so I thought I'd get back to my roots. So arty farty black and white stuff. Maybe a bit depressing batch though.

I'll post these as thumbnails linked to my gallery, since the scaling system of my gallery software sucks and I can't be bothered to save smaller versions.

One of the big reasons I love photos of archetecture and statues is how shadows fall on them. The black and white color tone really adds to the intesity of the shadows in those photos. Once again great work.

I'm a bit surprised of how many have visited here in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway two batches of photos. Let's start with some themed ones. Car photos. Haven't taken a whole lot of these, even I really like taking them. So I felt a bit out of my element and it shows. Here are a few of the better ones out of a HUGE batch.

And the then the first batch of photos from my trip to London. Some arty stuff taken on HMS. Belfast. Some tourist-ish point and shoot brigadier stuff coming maybe later if I can get anything decent out of them.

Actually, I live more in the middle of nowhere: Estonia so I'm like 80 km away from Helsinki :P And been going there like since I was still in my mother's tummy. Haha. Anyways.

Nice new pictures. The car ones are bit weird, but probably just because I have no real interest in that area. The second set is nice tho. I love the black-white not being quite black white but a bit of sepia.

Ah that would explain it. Guess the traffic goes both ways.
Which reminds me, should visit Estonia this summer. Been to Tallinn a number of times but never visited anywhere else. It's been on my agenda for a while but somehow never got around doing it.

Thanks. Here's a couple more.

Experimenting with HDR images. Haven't really done many before and the ones I had done were horrible. These turned out OK i think.
Spoiler for size:

And now let's get the sig department somewhat up to date.

Birthday present for Cierra.

SotM draft 1.

SotM draft 2.

SotM Final Failure. (Should have entered the first draft because this one fails hard. The background is absolutely awful. The more I look at it the more I dislike it...)

And two new freebies

And one for personal use. (this happens when I start listening to Pink Floyd)

Very nice. I don't really know what show any of those characters are from, but the backgrounds are just too freaking awesome for me to care.

This sure is a nice style. Good usage of text here. Is it just random words and numbers or actually something that makes sense? Just curious.

The text is basically nonsense. X-ray referrals, random street signs, old hand written poem scans and documents, street signs and french train ticket scans.

All freebies cost one trillion euro(1000000000000€), each. No wait...

Sure, go right ahead. I'll send the bill later.
