I don't think she is afraid and with the cross I think it is just hinata with her hair bun undone, also her white hair accessory and cross, I think proves it

Kobato is definitely not scared, her expression is more of surprise and hm I don't think that the girl is Hinata, her eyes and her hair aren't similar. The color is the same, but the style and especially the sheen are different.
Also, I'm really intrigued by this cover... it seems somewhat different from the others, maybe it's a hint that the real story is finally starting?

I think instead of adding more girls, Yomi-tan should just focus on Yozora and Sena.

I have though of two possibilities of who the girl on the cover is, the first is that she is a relative of Yozora's. The second is she is someone from Yozora's past, a former friend, perhaps.

maybe she is a member of the student council i think one of them was a true christians

This new 'christian' girl, perhaps one of the "normals" ? Or a new antagonist to the series? Perhaps one of Sena's classmates? The one that will show to the neighbours club the way of how to gain friends? Or the one having worse social problems that the club had to help (like anything happens in Yahari Ore no Seishun) ? I simply can't wait.

On the roof of St. Chronica Academy's school building, a boy and a girl involved in a big fight.
A boy named Hasegawa Kodaka.
A girl named Shiguma Rika.
They not only talk to each other of what they have buried deep inside their mind, but also in the physical sense to fight each other a lot, and finally, their mutual recognition and mutual understanding.
After the fight, both of them experienced extreme fatigue, as Kodaka collapsed face up on the ground, Rika is sitting with her back on the fence.
Both were smiling.
Both breathing heavily, but after doing all that, the two voices of joyful laughter echoed into the winter skies.
Not long after that, Kodaka asked

"Will you be my friend?"

A really meaningless lines - she thought.
Because, what they need is no longer a simple verbal commitment, now they saw, is how to see the bond that have been firmly linked to friends.

"Eh? What'd you say?"
"...No, don't give me that 'What'd you say?' crap... "
Without hesitation, Kodaka and Rika confessed to each other of their mutual feelings.

"I mean, aren't we friends already?"

laughters echoed in the place where those words can be heard.


"............"
- I can not stand it anymore
the girl then give up eavesdropping the conversation.
Now she feels like did not have a place to live on her own.
- The one who will accompany the boy along, will not be me.

Here, is the end of the beginning.


- I feel...... sorrow.


When they are not aware of her presence, she gently closed the door that leading to the roof, then she stepped quietly down the stairs.
Her hair has been cut short at end of this summer, and now has grown long enough to completely covered her head down to the girl's face.
Therefore, no one that passed by her know that she is actually crying right now.


"I'll be going on a journey, please do not look for me."

Soon after, Yozora Mikazuki sends the message to the members of the Neighbours club.

BTW, I wonder why this LN series is literally 'on hiatus'?
