finally got to watch the episode. i'm glad at how i think touma grew up a little and acted based on some information and not just pure emotions

though i still don't understand why he was in such a hurry, i mean he could still solve the perfect memorization = death problem even after the memory erasure. it's not like index will die if her memories were erased

maybe the novels said something about it? i hope it's not something like he doesn't want to be forgotten

Technically it would be the death of personality.

What if suddenly lose your memory. Would you consider yourself the same person whom other people seem familliar of?

Remember all episodic memories of Index would be deleted.

That is why Kaori and Stiyl is hurt at seeing Index being happy with Touma.

They've been killing her over and over again by erasing her memories. They who are her friends. Friends which Index now considers as enemies.

Just watched Ep 5.

Why the hell Mr hero figured out something so "well hidden" that two brilliant friends of Index never noticed for years? I guess in this world there's no such thing like Wikipedia or Google. Or is there still something else unrevealed in Kanzuki and Stiyl motive?

Mind you they are a bunch that don't trust modern science. Styil was mortified that Index would be placed in a hospital.

Neccessarius pretty much kept their magic users away from society. The better to control them.

Ignorance bring obedience.

As Touma said they probably don't have clue about neuro science.

Academy City is the best in that field due to the Brain Development Program to train Espers.

They followed the novel, for the most part, but there are scenes that are clearly the anime's fault: 1. The infinitely large room of Komoe. Touma ran and ran, and ran and ran before he got to Index. Made me burst out laughing, seriously. 2. A "pfffff" moment, where the feather lands on Touma's head. In the manga, he actually got hit for a better/cooler reason. Guess what happened here! He's looking at Index, and then he looks up with a look that goes "Oooh, pretty feather" and it hits him. BAM! And, let's not forget the incredibly strange miss by JC Staff. The blood on Touma's hand magically disappeared. Now then, onto the episode... For the first half... As always, Touma talks like he has read too much shonen manga. ( -_-) As always, recently, the tempo is bad. Index fires a beam, right? Powerful beam, right? And after blocking with his right hand, Stiyls and Touma has a nice chat (2-3 minutes) with Index. No sense of danger, huh... Also... Kanzaki... the art quality of her was quite strange in the middle of the episode. Her neck, her breasts... To be honest, I was not moved or impressed by the first half. The randomly comedic moments completely kept me from being able to focus my emotions into the events. Oh, but the animation for the action scenes are good, as expected. For the second half... Now this was a lot better. It was actually pretty sad and moving, for this anime (AKA, the anime that does nothing but explain things). And to use up the remaining time of the episode and to leave a cliffhanger(?), they went ahead to volume 2, with Aleister (No, not D. Crap-man's) talking to Sityl's about Deep Blood. Aleister's voice... Kind of don't like it, kind of think it fits... Mikoto didn't talk at all... By the way, everyone might have already noticed. But Komoe has been completely ignored. Her room and everything along with it. Yeah, ignored. Preview: It's heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere! The very loved volume 2!! Himegamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !! You know, Touma has no value except his hand. His hand does everything. He just spouts crap... Let's cut his hand off.
