Yes, you really should post them, only thing is, people there hate
OC/Self-Insert so it would do good to place a very specific warning.

I don't think my work will be accepted in FF.net mainly because I tend to use the 'world' or setting of a story but few of the story characters. Essentially, it's more like writing a sidestory (Gaiden) to the actual series.

I might put them up on my webpage, but that page hasnt been updated in a long while...

People accept OC's there as long as they aren't gary stu's and/or have another male who can pilot the IS as the main character. Just make sure that you put there in your summary that there are original characters and that your open to feedback and criticisms (not flames) and it should be alright.

Self insert does not equal gary stu, as long as the character is unique in his own right and isn't just a carbon copy of the canon characters then it should be fine. For reference look at "IS:Covert Strike" on fanfiction.net, despite the fact that it was a blatant self insert and the summary just screams gary stu, nobody really called him one till he starts acting overpowered and way too perfect by chapter three. Like I said, just avoid making a male OC that can use an IS (which is what me and Darkjak are doing) and make sure they can't curb stomp the main cast like they're a bunch of ragdolls. if you do that nobody should have a reason to hate on your fic. good luck!

There's nothing wrong with a self-insert as long as
you clearly state that it is part of a challenge you
are partaking in.

Which is exactly what I did, no complaints so far.

Okay, I just finished with Ch. 1 of Project Silverback. But I should warn you that it may feel that it's been rushed and short.

Now, I know I asked this question before, but if you were to make a "trailer" for your Fanfic, what would be like?

For mine, it would be something like this.

And by the way, the armor that my OCs wear is similar to what the guys are wearing in that video.

@ MeisterBabylon- Who are those characters? Looks pretty humorous since it focuses on a new class and the girl seems like Haruhi Suzumiya.

Side note-Finished prologue for chapter three but writers block is being a bitch right now.

Been thinking about an IS fanfic lately. Since getting another male character to pilot an IS is somewhat unfeasible. What about having him piloting some sort of battle armor that could fight on par with 3rd Gen ISes, like the one from the Mechassault games?
