Love at first sight with the anime after watching this episode. There's just a certain charm in how everything was presented that makes you wanna watch on.

Aside from the setting both leads seem very mature and fun to watch even though all they seem to do, and will do throughout the series, is talk.

Haven't read any of the materials it was based on but for being the most charming 1st ep I've watched this season, I'm giving it a perfect 10

First ep was very enjoyable, a nice step and a hint away from most of the recent series that have come out. The two lead characters both have an interesting personalities and actually appear to be pretty damn mature.

Was pretty impressed at how they could have a nude Horo without it seeming like fanservice. Just felt natural considering she had just turned from a giant wolf and clothes weren't part of the package yet.

Started off the series well. Main characters had interesting personalities and you just had a feeling this was going to be a good one.

I liked it, and it was very intriguing, but it didn't make me say, "OMFG I have to see the next episode". Also, I found the pseudo-nudity to be wierder than if she had just been plain naked. ....Maybe that's just me.

All in all, 8/10. A good start to what looks to be a quality anime.

I gave it a 9.... The plot, the characters, the setting rate a 10 in my book... but the animation and art budget drag it down a bit. They *are* doing a pretty good job of connecting the novel and manga art to the art of the anime though.

Loved the way they quickly and efficiently set the premise up yet provided reams of information for the attentive.

It was a good start, 7/10. It isn't catching my attention that well.

I really loved the animation done on the enviornment. I've been reading the manga before watching the anime so I expected it to be good. So far it has lived up to my expectations. 9/10

No change for me! The sub just reinforced my views!

This episode got a ten for pulling me right into the story and for having top notch music, animation, character interactions and atmosphere.

Holy cow! A ten!??? Kaioshin, do you realize that this is not a mecha/loli show? Just kidding. Good to have you onboard. And I agree that this show is amazing from many aspect, and especially the music.

Actually, I think it fits that K_S gave it a "10". His tastes seem to run towards the complex rather than the predictable

Shows that grab my attention are harder to pigeonhole as I tend to be all over the meter in what I like.

Of course, now he'll need to have an "11" for eps 2 and 3.

Because you're such a fixture on mech or loli-ish threads. This contains neither.... so yeah, you got stereotyped or archetyped Sit down and enjoy the Horo glow.

Unhappy I don't get it...

6/10.
Nice art. Nice sets. Cool characters. But the dialogues are a bit obscure to me. Aren't they?
I mean i wish i knew about the legends it's based upon, if there are any...

Perhaps this isn't for you... but watch a few more episodes. Keep in mind that reviews sometimes reveal more about the person making the statement than the story in question

A lot of the story concerns the hot-blooded tactics of merchant trading intermingled with the evolution of the relationship between Horo and Lawrence. Their adventures are risky, sometimes life-threatening - but the focus of the story is watching the relationship evolve.

Yah, I decided it wasn't for me after about 5 eps. It's okay, there are other titles out there.
