Actually I think you summed up my feelings on the final few episodes for me. I dunno what to describe it as either but the final few episodes had me completely emotionly gripped and it felt really weird that it had ended. Although I was satisfied with the ending (up 'til the "teaser" that she was still alive at the end, I don't want cliffhangers ).

Yeah, it was pretty saddening and you really feel for Lucy and Khota, but it didn't quite come to Chrono Crusade's ending, for emotional value.

Lucy dies in the anime, she is killed by Kouta by her request.

i always thought though that those two little girls that Kouta meets with his daughter was Lucy herself but her memories and personalities (Lucy and Nue) split into two seperate beings.

^u mean in the Manga?Kouta doesnt shoot Lucy in the Anime but in the Manga he does, so ive read off comments n sites and Rokime is what ur friend said seriously true?if it is where did ur friend get it?very curious about this

so am i, well if he is telling the truth ill be getting all of these ep very soon. i cnt say 100% it is true because im checkin goolge back to front for manga of the ep n i found on site:

it says there is 075ep of Elfen Lied. howeva due to dial-up i could only download one n it was number 14 but it was ep no 4 all ova again. i dnt no. If my mate is telling the truth... there is a God, life will be sweet once again.
my mate did say that the movie was much more violent then the 1st season. the way he got them was though his mate who introduced me n him to Elfen Lied. he has like 1tb of Anime. but yeah i cnt promise anything but as soon as i get it of him (if it is real) i will be postin a Thread right away (after i finish getting off ova the dvd of course) lol

huh? were u from? evryone feels like u do at first. i felt like that twice. first was when i watched it for the first time, and second was when i watched for the second time. i resist the temptation to watch elfen lied again because i know how it feels.................all the time i was at school i was thinking of elfen lied.......for the first weeks i couldnt sleep................ and for u to say "i didnt think id find anyone who felt like i did" is wrong. not mad at u but just want u to understand.

ya no second season but u know that really is stupid i mean theres 107 chaps i think in the manga n only 13 episodes of the anime,14 as the bonus one,as if they really summed up the whole manga in 13 episodes,very disappointing,n like someone else posted earlier,the manga was translated up to 75

wow! .. that's a better ending ; the anime ending is, disappointing.
It was good until the last part where someone is at the door and you don't know who it is .

well this is kinda stupid, no continuation.....i really wanted to know who that person at the door was at the end of the anime. BTW, i just heard that kouta kills lucy? does that happen in the manga? i never saw that happen in the anime.

They are not Lucy's children. They would have been born several months after she died. And they are not clones because they have much darker hair than Lucy. And Kouta did not know of them until they came to keep Lucy's side of the childhood promise to meet again at her dog's grave. They had already made friends with his daughter Nyu. They had taken her to the dog's grave and told her about it, evidently including telling her about the note that child Lucy had left in a jar since she showed it to her father. He had been going there every year during the festival and waiting, as per the promise, and never seen it. It ends with Kouta smiling and turning toward the twins.

Lucy and Nyu left her body, standing side by side in their Astral forms, to protect Kouta when the voice that was always telling her to kill took control and attacked Kouta. It is possible that they didn't go back, but went elsewhere to be born again. And it is possible that Lucy had older siblings who were raised by her father after her mother left, taking her. So the twins may be her nieces.
