Well, technically Capricorn wasn't converted, he was freed. He was already on Lucy's side, he just couldn't act.

Great episode, despite its compressed story pace. Poor Ul and Ultear. But that being said, Ultear's name makes a kind of poetic sense now.

I love the writing of Fairy Tail. So many character connections, and they never seem forced at all. Truly emotional anime moments at their finest and most genuine.

Don't know, saw it on one of the YouTube videos. There wasn't any muffling/covered sound in it which I found funny, the guy talked normally (which was my issue, just to make sure that we are on the same page). It was the scene when he first showed up to take the job. ^^

Was the video of a low quality, like it was filmed off a screen with a camera? I recall seeing a video of Mystogan like that. Because if so, then it'd be natural if you didn't hear subtle sounds and alterations.

Lol Liiy scared of thunder. So acnologia is liek the end of the world or something since even the council retreated. Wonder what Zeref will do now. Knew it was too much for them to handle Hades that easily. Got scared for a second wendy Wendy disappeared. Laxus returns!

Perhaps Acnologia is that "predator of death" of which Zeref spoke about 11 episodes ago. I mean, even he seemed to be freaking out about it.

Poor Meldy. I wonder how she will recover from this and what she will do next. I still want her in Fairy Tail as a guildmember. I have a feeling that Ultear will ultimately reconcile with Meldy and save her somehow.

That little kid a few episode back has not reappeared yet, the blond girl in the intro (I still bet that she is Mavis, with all the talk about her) is not here yet, and Zeref is walking about. I expect them to all eventually collide. Ultear and Meldy should have their moment at that point.

Well that definitely was a pretty crazy episode at times. When Wendy vanished it really was "WTF!?" I mean you knew she was probably alright...but still the explanations weren't really coming to mind. Good save, though couldn't have hurt to grab her clothes too .

This information about Meldy's past does make you wonder. Another tragedy on Ultear's shoulders, but doesn't mean she didn't have the intention to follow through. After all if she went back to who she was before she hated her mother then she never would have destroyed Meldy's village in the first place. Or she could simply have prevented it and then gone back to her past. Still...a surprising revelation.

Welcome back Laxus . I didn't think he'd get there during this arc, but guess lightning does have good speed. Plus anyone messes with his Grandfather (well other than him...) and they will get a fight. With a good head on his shoulders Laxus can show why he was an S-Class mage himself. If they need Fairy Law now they have it, but of course their opponent has a counter so it probably won't be needed.

Fairy Law isn't hereditary, it's one of the guild's 3 great spells (along with Fairy Glitter and something else that hasn't been revealed).

Laxus was kicked out of the guild so he couldn't use Fairy Law.

This is now on my top 3 list of anime shows i like, and for those watching the dub -.- dont complain, you decided to watch it dubed, thats why i watch subed or original, dosnt matter if i dont understand because i use the way they act and talk to guess what they say :3. soon this might be #1 on my list, but im only up to episode 41, started watching yesterday.

The initial assault on Hades was pretty great.

That's what you get when you adapt 2/3 of a chapter into 2 minutes of action instead of stretching it out.

Why do I get the feeling you pity people who watch the dub? It's almost as if you said that you refuse to watch the dub simply because other people watch it.

Superb episode. The fight with Hades was really nicely choreographed and in a speedy manner at that. Hades definitely pulled Ocelot near the end. I was waiting for him to say ''Splendid... Fairy Tail!'' XD

That opening fight against Hades is one of the best anime fight scenes I have witnessed. Seriously, I love it when they do something other than 1 on 1, and that 5 on 1 assault was animated well, and the chosen music really enhanced it. Obviously, it couldn't be that easy to defeat him, but I felt it was just awesome. I really like to see fights between uneven numbers of people, with the good guys working together as a team. I think this is the evolution that action shonen as a genre sorely needs.

And Laxus is back. I have to admit, from reading the manga, I did wonder why he didn't charge up Fairy Law before revealing himself to Hades, but the explanation that he was no longer in the guild, and thus couldn't use it, makes sense. Probably also couldn't waste time in order to save Natsu. I'm not too thrilled about what happens next, even though it does make some sense.

If by "what happens next" you mean that thing, know that it actually did receive a bit of direct foreshadowing extending all the way back to the Fantasia arc, and then some.

Really nice team work there.

Wendy's new outfit was kinda cool as well.

Then someone should probably pull out a damn stamp so he can then smack Hades with it. If Cana can run around using Fairy Glitter (what a waste...) then it's a shame that someone who can actually use a spell of that level like Fairy Law can't because he's not part of the guild right now.

Did enjoy the 5v1. I mean yeah you knew it couldn't really work, but seeing a group attack is nice in this kind of series whenever it comes up. Have to give Fairy Tail some credit since they make more use of it than most. The three dragon slayers vs the King, Natsu and Gajeel vs Laxus, Natsu/Gray/Erza against that crazy giant flute early in the series, etc.

I don't think you have to worry about Cana using Fairy Glitter again. She had a mark on her right arm when she received the spell, but after she used it, the mark vanished, especially apparent in episode 114 when she was lying face-down on the ground. Maybe her ability to use it was a one-time privilege.
