Yep, that's what I thought too during the meeting. He showed the harsh truth about the numbers to put them down to earth and then showed them that there's quite enough room to win. A motivational speech more than a political meeting. But still the lack of a platform keeps not liking me. Anyways Mouri hinted at that. They will take the "revolutionary" path to face directly Shinonome. I hope the wound't keep focusing only on the club genocide.

Chisato this episode gained some points, I like her straightforwardness in facing Oojima in the onsen. She keep having the upper hand so far; in this episode, and probably the next, the interactions Oojima had with the girls (Aomi is always so cute) seemed to have the second propose to fire up Chisato's jealousy. And given even that sad past that tie them together (but that maybe keeps Oojima at a "safe" distance for unknown reasons).

On the other side of the ring ... Satsuki finally got a bit more screen time, and it was worth every second of it
This season has hit my soft spot for smart girls, even three

back to the politics front, now that little episode could even become a bigger issue in the future if someone saw Oojima getting in dat vip room, couldn't it? Someone could even blackmail Satsuki to withdraw for the sake of Oojima, or even viceversa, even if less probable. (I keep foreshadowing scandals, but I'm start thinking that I willl never see anyone ).

Are you saying that because Chisato is a childhood friend, she has no shot, or because as things stand, she has no shot? If it is because childhood friend, then there are plenty of other anime that have childhood friends ending up together. Besides, right now, Chisato is the primary focus, with really no close second, which, btw, is not my preference. If I had a popularity poll, Chisato would place fifth among the five girls of interest. She is more like a sex object in the anime than any real substance, so far. That could change, however.

Considering Chisato's personality until now, a harem ending would certainly end(no pun intended) like School Days.

I'll go out on a limb and predict who I think may be an end girl on just what we've seen in the anime so far.

As unlikely as it seems I do want to guess Isara due to specific interaction

The first generic reason is that we had sequences of events that went like this regarding bullying (there's a lot of administration in-fighting)
Oosawa Incident -> bullying increase (Moheji attacks Mouri)
Meet Isara -> Later see Isara get bullied (Only Oojima saw a portion of this)
Discover Satsuki's club reform policy has ulterior reasons, such as reformatting the scholarship system.
Jokingly fated meetup with the campaign thing. (up to this point all encounters were random).

Anyways while those are bad examples, the point is that a good number of events going on indirectly have something to do with financial aid students. It's a point of topic, a point of argument, and something completely independent of the club. Although the club reform is the surface/popular issue, the financial aid stuff is definitely an internal issue.

A second generic reason is that Yuuki has extensive joy from encounters.
It's like "Oops I crashed into the ladder and caused chaos and soon after saw a bullying incident but she sure smelled nice as weird as the opportunity was." ... or
"Ow I cut my finger but now that I can relax at the hot springs I can recall how she put her mouth on my finger."
I won't go into any comparable tropes but this is quite the preference for a financial aid student who doesn't have an existing strength premise nor did Yuuki know her prior to the series (while it's implied he recognized everyone else at least knowing who they are). Usually this kind of bias can be seen when done on sisters (due to a protagonist being a siscon) or a prestigious student with strong abilities (an idol, a student council president, etc).

A third generic reason is Isara's inputs on positive outlooks regardless of the circumstance. (Yuuki is usually trying to use common sense to find it's not useful to go for something improbable. Satsuki talked him out of that regarding running). It's like darn I'm feeling down. Oh hey you perked me up, thanks.

A fourth generic reason is that Yuuki was known for having "things forced upon him" whether it's the club antics, Hazuki, (heck even in the recent episode Satsuki pretty much interrogated him, despite having good reason to do so). Yuuki doesn't like forced matters (this was evident with Chisato too). Isara occurrences aren't "forced upon" but rather chance happening.

A fifth generic reason is the cooking correlation. Hazuki had assumptions of Yuuki going out with Chisato, or Satsuki had assumptions of Yuuki having a special relationship with Hazuki. But I don't recall any other character actually mentioning the word "love" in a direct context. Although everyone acknowledges that Yuuki's cooking is good, most of the time it was like, "dump the work on him" notations.

Isara also does a "take things as it is" or "just make the most of it" attitude. No specifically stated complaints either (Yuuki hears complaints a lot, among other things).

The last generic reason is she got his name right. Although it's a running joke she's one of the few that has it completely right.

What made me think this? Direct Yuuki preference. If I'm thinking of a plot standpoint, election standpoint, club standpoint, allocation standpoint, character impact standpoint, or even backstory standpoint, Isara doesn't make sense at all (fits better as a support/rooting character through and through). Every other girl has a much stronger point in that regard. But Yuuki just looks happy lol.

Of course Isara is basically the character that brings a smile to one's face, though it just looked to me that almost always applied to Yuuki, whereas the other characters it's not all that smiley smiley (except Satsuki, particularly earlier on). Though there's also the fact that Yuuki is also aware of his surroundings, meaning he won't let himself get carried away (in public) during encounters, he sure can take a good 5 seconds after the event to recall it and would have succeeded if not for an interruption. (Although again the same could apply to Satsuki).


I won't speak anything of game information or whatnot. This is just from the anime alone. Yes I'm largely ignoring evidence of other routes or girls but I was a little surprised particularly at how Yuuki goes as far as remembering what just happened (aka it's a nice smell, or she opened her mouth wide before freaking putting my finger in to suck blood).

As far as actual events going on, I have no idea what will happen next. The episode 8 preview made it super obvious it's probably a Satsuki centered episode when she covers the entire preview singlehandedly.

Another thing is that if the Yuuki campaign is going revolutionary, then the tactic that comes up next would probably differ than what they did already.

Yes I'm aware that even with these things seen can all easily happen without a netted Isara pick (especially when events actually revolved around other characters more than her in the sense that we don't know and have yet to see). But I can't help but be amused at the possibility. The anime has sure made a mix of things so that it's not obvious as to whom Yuuki has preference for.

Oh I suppose a reason that swayed me from thinking Satsuki is the fact that her private matters, as she herself says, is not to interfere with her public duty, and even then, all that is going on with the Shinonome sisters have absolutely nothing to do with the food research club. In other words, if there's something to resolve, it doesn't require anyone that isn't named Shinonome (except maybe Yuuki due to learning of it)
And then for Chisato uh I guess there's some evidence of non-preference, and if there is to exist Chisato jealousy, it's possible with any non-Chisato girl. I'll leave this horribly generic to avoid accidental spoiling.

Yeah, improbable, but hey the election odds were also improbable. The show has a running theme (I guess) of trying and putting best efforts and working together to achieve something greater (or at least learn something). If it is just a club reform rejecting concept, all that happens is a daily reset and while that's fine Yuuki seeks love.

Uh yeah, that's what I had in mind all day after watching the recent episode.

I'm expecting consecutive resolutions. Something regarding Satsuki resolving (based on later ep 7 and ep 8 previews), something with Michiru resolving (due to end of ep 3 and 7), something with something resolving (because ep 9 and on right now is all "???").

Yeah that's all the thoughts I have for now. Normally I'd go with the more popular opinion due to certain sequences and evidence but this just made me go HMMM I wonder!

This is another one of those shows where I really like pretty much all the characters and wouldn't mind seeing any of them "win". I would have said Chisato was in the driver's seat, but I was pretty sure I knew who Mashifony was going to pick and that didn't exactly follow the plan. I think the best chemistry is actually between Yuuki and Satsuki, but I have a real soft spot for Mifuyu after episode 5.

KoiChoco continues to surprise me, generally. It's just plain interesting - a fascinating plot, and characters who have more to them than what they seem. This was the first episode that really managed to tie all three of the title elements together in more or less equal proportions.

Well, I pray all is well for your BF, and thank him for his service.

Chisato is definitely a friend, but that is because she has been for the longest time. Yuuki is probably so comfortable and accustomed to her, that her advances just seems natural to him. However, I don't think in this type of anime that her chances are any less. She does have the most focus, and she is the most aggressive. She is the center of all group pictures in the intro. She is practically the whole intro. Heck, the title of the show has chocolate in it, which is her whole issue, and her alone.

As much as I do like harem endings, I don't think it will be the case with this one. If they are going to develop romance, he will eventually end up with someone. Otherwise, he might not end up with anyone. I just don't think harem end is in store for this anime.

Satsuki does have the most chemistry with Yuuki. Just looking at the ending song, she is the last girl to be shown, which is a positive sign for her to end up with Yuuki, but as always, group pictures of her are on the side. Also, the scandal that would occur if he had a relationship with another candidate would probably overturn any chance for him to win the elections. Post election... well, that's another story, which I doubt we will get to.

I find the episode a bit emotional for Chisato... I still don't know why Yuki acts like this in front of her.. This episode moved me.

On the politics side... I liked the strategy laid out by the current Student Council President. It's still going to be quite a challenge, of course, but at least it makes some sense, and seems viable to me. Oojima becoming Student Council President is still a longshot, practically speaking, but at least the broader campaign strategy has some logic to it and answers the question that a lot of people had of how can Oojima possibly win given the numerical circumstances.


On the romance side... I like how this anime has kept things unpredictable here, and hasn't really been giving me the vibe of favoring one girl in particular. Satsuki, Chisato, Isara, and Mifuyu have all had nice moments with Oojima in this anime, and I could easily accept the anime going for either of the four. Michiru, OTOH... I'd never guess she was even a main heroine for this anime, if not for her placement in the OP. I'd have to think that a Michiru end is just about impossible now (mind you, I'm saying that as an anime-only viewer). But for four options to all seem reasonably viable after Episode 7 is pretty cool.

Personally, I don't care a great deal who Oojima ends up with, though I hope it's one of the leading four ladies since any other choice would seem contrived to me at this point. Also, I'm not a big fan of completely open-ended indecisive ends.

That being said, I will feel sorry for Chisato if she's not the "winner", because I think she'd handle "lost" the worst of the four. I think that Mifuyu and Isara would probably handle it fine, while Satsuki would probably feel sad for a time but likely get over it.
