Spoiler for translated 4komas:

Translations from Danbooru, editing done by me.

Boy I'm thankful for the translators on Danbooru for doing these so quickly. The mods there seem to be those hardcore NanoFate fans, because these will be deleted in one more day because they aren't approved by the mods. Same thing happened with those other 4komas I posted.

I'm not so sure that's the reason, though. Enokuma's art seems to be pretty borderline in general. I've seen some of his Touhou comics get deleted there and you can't dispute its popularity. As for the yuri zealots there, I told them to STFU, not that I expect them to listen.

P.S. I like your avatar.

Normally I wouldn't attest the 'not getting mod approval' to some anti-Yuunoha conspiracy, but these two also got deleted after 3 days of not being approved (both raw and translated versions), so I can't help but see a trend...

Though this pic got approved. Hmmm...

Well, if it's any consolation, I'll appeal them if they do get deleted. After that, I'm afraid it's out of my hands.

If you're talking about the appeals, it's a straightforward process – no help needed. But thanks for the offer.

Well as expected, they've been deleted after 3 days because of no mod approval. I've gone and posted the hard translated versions, which I'm sure will suffer the same fate. Oh well, at least people have a chance to save them if they want them, and they'll always live on over at gelbooru.

For many good reasons, this was a very bad idea.

Oh? So I shouldn't have posted them? Should I remove them myself?

Normal members can't remove posts, you'll just have to let them die.

As to why it's a bad idea, well, the mods likely won't be very happy that you've posted things that have essentially been deleted already. The fact that they didn't approve them the first time round is a pretty good indicator that they won't approve these either, especially as Danbooru generally prefers raws over hard translations (which can't be modified).

I guess I really just don't understand the mods. I mean, some pretty gross porn stuff is on there and gets approved, yet these 4komas don't? I can't help but feel that these images are being unjustly persecuted. I suppose I have a delusional notion of 'fighting the power.'

I'll be sure to wise up and keep this in mind for the future.

Edit: Uh... Page claim for me being an idiot!

It's really not that complex a concept. Danbooru is basically one guy running his own personal art museum, collecting images that suit his taste. Over time, he has appointed a couple of friends to help him sift through the tons of images that get submitted, instructing them to only approve images that they themselves like. It's a completely subjective system, and it's never pretended to be anything else.

Anyway, I think we've derailed this thread enough with this all this talk of Danbooru. If you'd like to talk more about it, feel free to send me a PM (here, or perhaps more appropriately at Danbooru itself). I look forward to hearing from you.

Also, no, you're not being an idiot. I think anyone can be forgiven for misunderstanding that site. There's not a lot of documentation available on it and the little that does exist isn't exactly easy to find. I guess the idea is for people to "lurk' more.
