People seem to forget that the original Eureka 7 didn't sound good on paper either and didn't stand out from the slew of mecha anime that came out back then either. People need to stop expecting Ao to be exactly like the original since it's obviously not trying to be as much as it disappoints some of you.

Donno, I can't see any of them in Naru Gidget or Hilda? Maybe, but not Talho or Anemone

Really? I hoped that the gender bender would have involved even the characters and not only the visuals.

About Naru, if I had to say, she remind me Talho more than anyone else. 70% Talho and 30% Gidget, maybe?

Watched the new PV, but I feel like they changed Ao's hair color (from blue green to dark green) in the first episodes, and it makes me think of Ganta from Deadman Wonderland. I just hope they would fix his hair color in the next episodes.

They didn't change it, the color changed upon "activation"

So I hear Naoki Sato is not composing the music this time.

All my tears.

Yeah and the new guys other credits are pretty much just for video editing, he's a total enigma. The more I hear about this project and how little of the original staff is involved and how little it seems to take from the original series concept the more apprehensive I become about this sequel approaching anywhere near the quality of the original.

Don't go in expecting it to be the original all over again. Who knows - we might all be pleasantly surprised. Why worry?

Lol, this is as close as you'll ever get to another Anemone =03. I don't think any of the new chars look like the old ones. They might remind you of another char, but all the looks are different. Plus, chars will have similar features when the design and style btw 2 shows are the same

Uh nope.

The music is done by Kouji Nakamura. He was the singer/guitarist/writer for the Japanese group SUPERCAR, aka the group who made the song Storywriter that was featured in the first series. He also has a solo career going by the name of Ill, and is in a new band named LAMA, along with Miki Furukawa, who was the co-singer and bassist in SUPERCAR.

They definitely did not settle for a nobody as far as composer goes.

And almost the entire staff from the first series is back, apart from Satou Dai (which is admittedly worrisome).

On the other hand, Sato's latest output hasn't exactly been magical.

I think what will be interesting is what the musical tendencies and influences will be on this series, as both Kyoda and Sato were very heavily musically inclined, and here we'll only have half of that team.

Ah that's a relief then.

Well I certainly liked what he did for Blood-C.

But I did see this new guy did Storywriter, and as one of my favorite anime songs ever, that at least kept me from real despair

I think he was referring to Dai Sato.

This is true, which my explain his current job status. I hope Okada-san doesn't make him crossdress as part of his teaboy duties.

Still, the E7 Sato wrote was certainly better than the E7 he didn't - and he was involved in the manga adaptation, too. I wonder what happened.

Just wondering why they sully e7 ending

Renton is missing just how many years?, Eureka got kidnapped? 10 years ago. Some random dude is raising their son.

Why Holland/talho didnt take him or some of the 3 childs and where they are btw is both of their "parents" are missing.

Just read chapter 3. Looks more like an Evangelion ripoff than an IS ripoff.
