Awrya @ I think is the part when they find out Ise soul/spirit still alive when the body is die. You know how devil work right? if i remember right Rias(i think was her) say that if the soul is alive then devil can come back. she only warn him to not come close to exorcist that they are the one that can kill them.

We were discussing angels and demons the other day and a few things regarding possible future developments were mentioned.
1.
Vali is the great grandson of Lucifer, Satan himself aka. the fallen angel of light.
Could be grounds for a future power up? (I mean light resistance and powers, no need for him to turn angelic)
2.
Vali might be the anti-christ due to several reasons.
He's the spawn of Satan.
He is a dragon so to speak.
He's ungodly powerfull even for a devil.
So what do you think about these?

Vali is the great grandson of Lucifer.
Clearly in the DxD setting, Lucifer was a devil and not a fallen angel.
It's fairly clear that devils are not fallen angels.
Besides, Vali has devil wings, not fallen angel wings.
Furthermore, fallen angels are susceptible to the power of light as well, even though they can wield it as weapons.

Personally, I suspect Vali's strength is a reference to Dragonball -- the hybrid Saiyans are generally stronger than pure Saiyans.

Your theory about Satan is a fallen angel of light might not be possible though, since if i remeber correctly in DxD devils and fallen angel don't relate to one another like in real world

Well "Lucifer" does mean "Light-Bearer" if I'm not mistaken, so... But it's up to the author do decide those kinds of things....

And n0m@n is it mentioned who the top 5 might be? Now that Ophis is downgraded, I can see a battle royal for the number 1 position.

And perhaps ancestor Devils were closer to Fallen Angels than the current generation, who knows?

Well it's true that Lucifer(Told in RL) was a former angel and became fallen-angel. Though the author did say that he will use the religion/mythology as a reference and he would be making up his own stuff. So things like Norse Gods are alive and Cerberus not appearing as Hades gate dog did happen in the LN.

But the author did make us go WTF so many times so your opinion might be possible.

Fallen Arch-Angel, 2nd to micheal and god, so...does that mean Sirzechs and Ajuka are the most powerful in the faction allience? Also....WHY IS GABRIEL FEMALE?! I mean...the name gabriel is male..and gabriella is female..i think

Pride is not always practical or rational.

Well, there has been so little about Christ himself, let alone the Antichrist.
Of course, with this author, you never know.

But Pure Devils are said to reach very high levels of power, even if they don't train.
The same can't be said for revived devils, dunno about half-devils and dragon-devils though.
Speaking of dragon-devils, you'd expect someone like Tanninim who is practically overflowing with dragon swag (or so he says) to have a few children here and there.
The same applies to the BG and DD holders of the past.
And assuming that the devils already know what they can expect of Issei's future offspring it doesn't seem like they're foreign to dragon-devil hybrids.
Yet so far there has been no mention of their children.
Perhaps they'll appear in the next arc
