Agreed, what they did to flesh out each of the branching paths made them a lot better, even enjoyable--I had a smile on my face while watching the Reapers rebuild in the Control ending, and all the happy people in the Synthesis ending.

However, this does not excuse deus ex machina kid and his associated destruction of narrative coherence--his stupid exposition dumps do not help... in fact, they hurt! This is a visual medium, people--remember the #1 rule:

SHOW, DON'T TELL. Nobody likes exposition; it's boring and feels very artificial.

I do agree that "show, don't tell" will always be the superior way of story telling.

What I figured was: Someone from Bioware said they first wanted to go with only 1 ending. The Reapers get destroyed ending.

Somehow I get the feeling the original ending was just Shepherd sitting besides Anderson, looking at earth from the best seats in the house (and remember the voicefiles from this scene were already in the game even if they were not used) and then the Crucible would fire, destroy the Reapers and make the Citadel and stuff go boom. No dead Geth or EDI, instead the Crucible just worked as intended. All are sad about Shepherd demise but oh, an after credits scene showing that he's still alive. Thanks for playing!

But somehow they thought they needed a few more endings (because choices), but how to make them happen? there was just some console for opening up the Citadel's arms in the room. Enter the kid, make it offer the endings and let it give a few explanations about Reapers.
Ah yes, also let's make the destroy ending a little less appealing by also make it kill other synthetics. Viola, the old 3 endings were born!

It is really funny. While I do think the endings are nice, even I see that the rest of the game is far superior. The part with Anderson and TIM were good and Anderson/Shephard talk afterwards was just great. Music and all.

And then comes the kid. Still not rage worthy for me... I saw worse.

So despite the strange ending: ME3 a really great game and I do not regret playing it. I agree they could have done better in the end, but I will always remember the Mass Effect series fondley.

This is true. Heck, the first thing that ran through my mind when my 360 finally RROD-ed a couple of days ago was "aw damn, no more replaying mass effect."

I agree. In fact, this is still my (head)canon ending (I hope the dude will add DLC scenes soon)

(I still find it amusing that Starfish doesn't have any real means to determine gender amongst themselves. So come mating season they just randomly crawl over one another until they find a match.)
Of course, they were given boobs "Just cause" it makes it easier to tell them a part. Other than the females being seemingly smaller in girth and more slender.

Damn i thought i downloaded the extended cut but it was just a patch... i played the game for nothing....
So i watched the 4 endings. It was better than the previous endings but the reasons & conclusions are still meh.
Well , i think that the more satisfying ending is Blue cuz Shepard controls all the reapers , helps to rebuild things , Geth are alive , IDA too etc.... but who knows if a day he'll abuse of authority & destroy all things again , became the new starchild etc...
I'm not a fan for the synthesis , i don't think it's a good idea that's all living being became like that , each living being got their own lifespan etc...
The Red could have been good if only all the synthetics wouldn't be dead cuz all the previous efforts would have been pointless...
Refusal -> ME 1,2,3 reboot with nothing new.

Apparently there's a new DLC coming

Adept) N7 Fury: Throw, Annihilation Field, Dark Channel

(Soldier) N7 Destroyer: Multi-Frag Grenade, Missile Launcher, Devastator Mode, T5-V battlesuit?

(Engineer) N7 Demolisher: Homing Grenade, Arc Grenade, Supply Pylon

(Sentinel) N7 Paladin: Snap Freeze, Incinerate, Energy Drain

(Infiltrator) N7 Shadow: Tactical Cloak, Shadow Strike, Electric Slash

(Vanguard) N7 Slayer: Phase Disruptor, Biotic Charge, Biotic Slash, has a guddam sword *is Kai Leng I'm assuming*

Fury: "Fury operatives use implants to fuel biotics and their incredible
movement speed. These operatives wind an unpredictable path on the
battlefield, moving in and out of combat before returning to unleash a
sweeping biotic attack on their unsuspecting targets."

Destroyer: "The Destroyer's T5-V Battlesuit gives these strong-but-slow
soldiers mech-like protection. Driven by eezo-assisted actuators, these
frontline troopers carry heavy weapons onto the battlefield."

Demolisher: "The Demolisher uses grenades to attack at range and to
terrorize the battlefield. Demolishers can also create a supply pylon
that stocks allies with an unending reserve of grenades and thermal
reloads."

Paladin: "The Paladin carries a powerful omni-shield onto the
battlefield to block enemy fire. The Paladin also uses the shield as a
heavy-melee weapon that, when modified with incindiery or cryo upgrades,
creates a devastating combination attack."

Shadow: "Shadow infiltrators use implants to dramatically improve
agility, making them slippery combatants on the battlefield. Their
monomolecular blades are a menace from cover and close range."

Slayer: "Slayers use implants to dramatically improve mobility. Their
dizzying sword attacks can hit multiple opponents, and the Slayer's
ability to slip fire makes them hard to pin down on the battielfield."

Edit: Release date 17th July

I dunno but I think the destroyer if he's that slow would be useless since a Phantom/banshee can just run up and insta-kill them.

I don't think they'd be that much slower than Krogans at least, and the latter aren't that much more vulnerable to Phantoms and Banshees than everyone else.

Also, pics of the new N7 Classes:

Yes, we actually get playable versions of a Phantom and Kai Leng in MP. Freakin' sweet

Fuckin' sweet. I'm definately gonna play Destroyer, Demolisher and paladin, especially if Demolisher has Overload.

I like how the Demolisher is wearing a female version of James and Kaidan's base game alternate outfits.

Well, moreso, I hate the fact that Ashley doesn't have an alternate like that.

but is it an underwater timed escort mission?

Escort missions? As in, the most hated mission type in any game ever? Well... crap.

Well it doesn't sound so bad as the escort target is one of the players. I figure it's a little like the high-priority packages objective, only that the one going to extraction point is able to sprint.
Or they turn him into some other helpless character... then... well... gah. >.<

But damn, those N7 operatives look great. And the Shadow has Shadow Strike? Dayum, this was one of my Kasumi's favourites.
Wonder how the T5-V Battlesuit works. Like Tech Armor or more some kind of passive power?
And whats next? Spectres for the aliens races?

Reddit: Escort Objective Details

From the sound of it, it resembles TF2's Payload Mode, where you "push" a probe by standing near it until it reaches its destination. Supposedly the enemy either doesn't go after the probe or is invincible, so no worry about it getting killed by its stupidity.

I wish all those weapons and armors can go to SP. The Inferno armor in N7 colors looks incredibly sweet.

Leviathan and Firefight Pack DLC announced

Leviathan is, as we already know, a story-based single player DLC. It will also include the AT-12 Raider and M-55 Argus, 2 weapons that were previous pre-order only (one of which was PC only).

Firefight Pack is a single player weapon pack a la Firepower Pack from ME2. It includes 7 weapons, 2 of which are brand new.

Wii U version will include all current DLC on disc for free, as well as an interactive back story and its use of the Wii U gamepad appears to be for a minimap and 8 hotkeys.

Great to finally see some story driven single player DLC. The weapons DLC is also a big plus for me. I've been wanting one of those for a while. Hopefully it's the first of many.
