I just went ahead and read the RAWs for the fake(?) dating mini-arc. The entire scenario is better portrayed than in the anime here, with additional scenes, one of which I thought changed a good deal of the atmosphere. I'm not sure whether it's the anime studio cutting this or the author revising this afterward. It's likely the former, but I like to think otherwise.

... So Index is somehow portrayed as a little less aggressive than her anime counterpart, who doesn't stop biting Touma even after he confesses he actually lied.

I think the manga just made the whole scene funnier.

Index manga is covering for now only volumes of light novels 1, 3 and 5. So I suppose the next arc in manga is going to be the volume 7.

I think that the mangaka skipped those chapters because tehy were boring to him, not because they were uneven. We may yet see chapter 7 in manga... and we may even see more then 1 chapters skipped.

Do you mean the arcs, right? If you say that why the boring second part of volume 5 was adapted? Why it wasn't skkiped?
The second arc was improvised but it has a good end.
The third arc only Accelerator and the imoutos made it worth, the drama of Mikoto wasn't enough, I felt more pity for those imoutos instead Mikoto and they lost about a whole chapter talking. In this arc I was near to drop the series.
The 4th arc had a funny start and a weird end, but is was still enjoyable XD.
The 6th arc I see it only like a transition to the coming arcs introducing new concepts.

Maybe it wasn't boring to him? It is on him to choose what to adapt and what not. What to improve and what to cut.

It looks like this chapter is about LO and Accelerator in the restaurant and accelerator's past. While in the anime didn't even elaborate it and I didn't even know what's accelerator's past that lead him to becoming psychopath. Does the novel give a good reason for it?

Looks is going to show more about Accelerator or LO past.

It is a monthly manga.
And Onemanga does not take time to upload them. The translators are just slow.

Every site uses the same translations so neither has translated chapters.
If it is worth something, this site has RAW's.

Those're chinese scanlations actually, not raws.

Edit: or I guess they might chinese raws? but if they are, why leave the sfx etc in japanese and only translate the dialouge?
