Looks like someone translated to another language and then back to English someplace else...probably without knowledge of the original English.
I've seen things like this before from subs done in Hong Kong or Singapore from Japan. The product is translated to Chinese and then to English...though sometimes there may be English in the original product that has Japanese subtitles. Those are translated to Chinese and then back to English. I think it was Galaxy Express 999: Eternal Fantasy that had those. Made a total mess of the pronouns and had a tendancy to translate proper nouns literally...even if a world's name was already in English...it would translate it to another world that meant the same thing. There was something else I had that has a song at the end that was entirely in English....but the English subs did not match what the singer was singing...well...not word for word anyway. The meaning of the words was there, but the words themselves were wrong.
