My original fanart (Kyou from Clannad)

Originally, I am not too interested in Kyou. However, the recent episodes had manged to change my mind to the extent that I even started to create original fan art of her.

Here is an attempt to portrait her parody appearance as a mahou shoujo (magical girl). Since I began to draw this fan art back in Dec, the costume is quite different from the official one which appeared in end Jan.

The major problem I find is that the background is too "normal" and does not fit the magical girl theme. However, I had already spent two weeks to draw the current background, so I am just too lazy to draw another one.

Anyway, hope you will enjoy this fan art. All comments are welcomed.

Thanks for the comments. The head does indeed look too small..... working on the same image for over a month must have distorted my sense of proportion.....

I have enlarged the head by around 10%, is the proportion OK now?

Its quite good already but what follows can be improved:

- neck should be thinner and not that long
- right eye rotate about 5-10 degree in clock-wise direction
- slim + centering chin (little more leftwards)
- off set (off center) nose a little
- narrow the facelines to the chin (right side more than left side)
