There's a ton of them, but all I know is that the majority of the H-game market is in Japan. Outside of Japan only a few actually buy them, as most of these games are repetitive (they basically use the same formula, stereotypical characters and storyline since the 1980s).

I wasn't talking about hentai games as a whole, but mainly about "rape simulation" (or maybe all the games are like that, I don't know).

Anyway, I prefer to not comment on the existence of that kind of games and people who actually enjoy Rape Simulators. It makes me sick.

If they keep being produced, there must obviously be a market for them. A pretty distubring fetish, but as long as no one's getting hurt...

I lol'd at Battle Raper, what a weird name. I think Amazon handled it quite well, rape sims aren't the most healthiest of a variety of such games.

At least they managed to keep this whole thing out of reach of those not deserving to use it.

lol. if you thought the name was funny. you should see the game trailer.

At first i thought it was just one of those translation errors since the first half the the trailer looked just like a regular fighting game with some overly echhi voice acting and costume design. which was hilarious.

but then the second half of the trailer....turns out you rape your opponents when you beat them... its quite graphic.

i won't place the link here but you can find it from the game's Wikipedia page.

here, almost as good.

And so more and more British families are shot to hell
Father at 13, concieving at 12
It's not so much society I blame as mentality of individual families... well if a majority think/act the same, I guess that equals to 'society'.
This is an environment which I've grown up in, seen time and time around me on a personal front and take a little personally, so I'm well aware of Britain's stats for underage sex, drinking, drug use and general uncivilised behaviour within Europe (and even the world) for over a decade, it's disgusting to be honest.
But there are times like this that really make you think 'enough's enough', all the kids should be put into care, (but sadly even then that system isn't so great either) the parents have their tubes snipped and kept away from kids cause they fail so hard anyways, they barely can look after themselves, let alone another human life.
While some may argue 'no matter the parenting, some kids are truly cruel, don't listen etc etc'
For most part, good parenting will preserve a solid set of morals in teens so that while they may make mistakes, they're well aware of consequences and responsibilities.
Somehow, I don't think this was just an 'accident'.

In a country where education is free until 19 and we have full rights to aspire and be what we wanna be and aren't suppressed as much as many many other countries outside of the West are, this is just pathetically sad.

To give a little more background to it...
Police won't press charges on the boy
(the mother is 14 btw, you'd think she'd be held responsible legally, huh...)
Father says 'he'll be a good dad'
(He's just not sure how he'll support his baby though, since he only gets pocket money)

Escapist fantasy rarely has anything to do with reality.
Apparently more than a few women like to indulge in 'rape fantasy' bondage according to sex studies, so escapist fantasy comes in various packages. People who buy these little software packs (and most of them are terrible from many aspects; quality, development, technology, etc) are seriously unlikely to ever do more than fantasize.
Yeah, I find such things unpleasant as well but I'm also sensitive to the notion of the even more dangerous creep of society engaging in "thoughtcrime" prosecution/persecution.

That's the disturbing part, sadly.
It already happened in a little red dot in SEA. The girl conceived at Primary 5, at 10 years old. The father was a 18 year old dropout.

And if you want some real statistics, I bet in countries like Swaziland with child brides and such, conception can be around that age with fathers at 40-50 years old.

P.S Note one of the commentators in the article is named Mr Balls!! He sure has the golden orbs to comment about such things when his name is like this (triple pun intended).

There is a company named Illusion in Japan, and they specialise in such H-games. Just in case you don't know, Key (which made the so-emotionally charged Clannad) also made such games like this, although at a much lower and more censored storyline (Tomoyo's afterstory is one such, as well as Air and Kanon if I am not wrong).

Adding to this, I've been known to look through friend's porn collections if they're dumb enough to give me the opportunity - and sometimes it's quite an eye opener. Pretty much killed any notion I had that only creeps have weird fetishes.

That said, I do have to admit that its annoying when I track down a collection of pictures of a cute catgirl, only to find that roughly 80% of said collection involves tentacles.

Why are we dragging Key into this? None of their stuff contains rape.

Quite a number of anime series (especially those with a male lead and multiple women) are based on eroge games (the phrase "H-games" tends to imply the harder core 'hentai' (weird sex) for most people ... eroge more often have in-depth storylines and actual romance before the "winning moments" o.O).

And yes, its pretty misleading to categorize games like the ones Key produces which are *romance* and story driven with the hard-core and fetish-laden "plot???? what plot?" crap. That's about like showing someone a XXX movie and then implying all movies are the same.

I'm personally against the banning of said product, but only because its just another form of censorship.

I never like it when some individual or group of individuals steps in and says "no, you can't do/have/buy that because we say so" Who are they to judge whether whatever I am doing is wrong? They don't know me.
These products don't directly harm any other individual.

It would be very different if these products were "guides" or "tools" used to help individuals rape another person. Then I'd be all for the banning of the products.

They would have been better off not publicizing this report. I would have never even heard about these Rape Sims if they just left them alone. Now any person that heard about these games will just download them off the internet if they are curious enough to know more about them.

I never said that any of their stuff contains pure rape and hardcore and all that XXX. I just mistakenly categorised the games under H-games rather than eroge, though some games really stand on the line....and I refuse to give any of the titles because of forum rules.

Spoiler for NSFW information:

The reason why such products are banned is because of the existence of delusional or schizophrenics who are socially disabled. Being one of the former mentioned is already bad enough, social disability can lead to the person having serious difficulty to engage in social conversations and make friends (you are speaking to one such person now). Their reality is in their computers and not the outside world which they shun. Society likes to call these people "sociophobics", and these people have a tendency to mismatch what they see as what is ACTUAL. Emulation of such events is pretty lethal, one example might be the Columbine shootings in 1990s.

P.S I had to admit that DOOM was pretty addictive at that time. It was my first tryout at a LDK (level development kit), and I was only 8 at that time.

What's so extraordinary about 10? Try 5.

Is it? Think about the size of the market for simulated bloodsports or simulated murder, which easily dwarfs that of simulated rape. And yet, most here would, I think, agree that no one reasonable wants to censor those.

The story is quite grotesque imo.

But we really need to ask ourselves, Which is worse?
killing people, stealing cars, and committing other violent crimes as seen in many of the main stream games released today or sexual violence seen in some other games? And why is one or the other worse?

both are socially unaccepted behaviors.

I have the game. Don't ask how I get it, how I find it, or if I can redistribute it. All private messages to this game will not be answered or entertained. I would just say that School Days is much better.

Though I admit that the morals in our society has become decadent, I believe that it is due to our liberalism. It is good to have this games around, for I find that they are excellent ways of venting my anger and frustration I accumulated at a screwed-up workplace. A few headshots with a sniper rifle blowing off heads, or a shotgun blast turning bodies into slush seem to be the perfect avenue for me to take out what I really want to do at my useless colleagues, and keeps my competitive spirit up and running.

Take a look at GTA and Doom (poor ID Software), both games contain serious elements of violence, yet they make their way into the top 10 games in their respective years. Yet sandbox games like Sims don't make their way there because of their "stupid-style gameplay" meant for people "robbed and bankrupt of dreams". It has got something to do with what the market wants, and how people see things. For example in US, there are multiple gun laws but over at where I live, there is only one (a firearm is considered an illegal item if found on a civilian, harsh sentence blah blah jail term blah blah death penalty).

I reiterate my point. Let games be games, and I am a strong believer that war should largely exist in computer games, not in the real world. If man has the need to fight and kill, let him do so, in a non-physical virtual reality.

Now lets trade headshots, spawnkills, B2B, camp-ambushes, suicide bombing rushes and whatever other methods to kill each other all over again in VR. I never get sick of doing so.

P.S I don't think sexual violence is unacceptable if the other party wants it. Anything to keep divorce rates from increasing due to uncreative sex lives.

Considering there are eroge far, far worse than mere "rape", Rapelay isn't anywhere near the bottom of the barrel.
If you want REALLY disturbing material, try any of the games from Tachy (たっちー) with their gory mutilation torture rape... I can play ryoujoku choukou games fine, and even I can't stomach their stuff.
It's so terrible that I can't even post the DESCRIPTIONS of the games' content here.
