This is why Railgun is usually superior to Index, at least animation-wise.

Maybe how the character views their world? It might be interesting if that was true but I think that once they set a standard they do not stray from it. Perhaps because there a lot more original content so maybe they want to draw better for something they have more of say in? I am sure someone has an answer~

The next series might be rotoscope

... Touma appears at the end... and boy, much rejoicing happens.

Well, he appeared in the right place of course.

The episode was a 24/10.

That way surpassed my expectations which were already very high. They made that battle awesome.

I loved all of it. They captured all of the expressions perfectly (Frenda lol).

Meltdowner's Seiyu is such a boss/God (can't wait for Index III)

Mikoto was great in that fight.

The moment I saw Touma at the very very end was the moment that I achieved enlightenment. I was happy

I can't wait for the next episode

I am really impressed with that. I can't wait for subtitles. That was just awesome!

Great episode! Frenda's cute reaction towards Mugino's punishment. Mikoto's vs Mugino battle is awesome.

Touma finally appears and the end.

I am just on a wild tangent that this anime seems to show a lot more effort. It is a rare thing that my opinion of the anime is higher then the manga when comes to a series.

The episode was good, will wait for subtitles to objectivly vote in pool.

The only thing that I didn't liked was how Mugino's beams were only making explosions on impact and not making holes in floor / walls / ceiling.
Previous episode they were melting everything in their path, plus explosions from time to time.

And it was quite funny how fast was Mikoto able to recover from the fight, I mean seriously, I would sleep for at least 2 days without being able to move for a while afterwards.

Yes, there is a great being out there to appease us! Touma is here at long last and Mikoto needs to punch him in the face with love!

hmm, i was expecting more action on Muginos part or at least something that made it look like Meltdowner was fighting. as she was just standing in one spot having the "basic animated lasers" fly around her, those of which looked abysmal in comparison to the railgun which doesn't do well to compliment the absolute destructive power Meltdowner has (fact: high speed particle waveform cannon > railgun).
on the whole i felt like it fell short on portraying her abilities, usually this wouldn't be a problem since it was still a good fight and held true to the nature of the index universe conflicts but for reasons i can't state without subtly spoiling: this was a missed opportunity

however near the end it managed to capture her characteristics and reflect them in her fighting style. aside from a personal issue i have with Takisubos chest size looking out of place in her design everything else was perfect. note: all the above is superficial to the quality of the episode
9/10 as a adaption
10/10 as a anime
yeah i'm a hardcore mugino fan

Last epic battle then "he" finally appears!!!

OHHHHH YEAA~~~ X)

Now the massive climax begins~~~

Only question is how much difference will there be compared to Index-side version. They better not do filler episodes mostly just because the story after Touma appears was already aired in Index or something =A=

Even if there is the same content or different content, it will obviously be done in a railgun style. That alone will make it unique and distinct either way... so don't worry about it.

Man that was really good. God I love Mugino so much. As with all the level 5s she's just so damn cool.

I laughed much harder than I should have at Touma suddenly narrating the preview

Another great episode, if only Index had this budget and directing level.

[mod edit: removed speculation about future content]

Glad they had top notch animation for the fight scenes.

Getting to see Mugino all animated is just awesome and exciting. Ami Koshimizu's voice acting is so lush. I want to be abused by it.

I didn't even think they were gona get to Touma, even for a split second so I was happy about that. And yeah the narating for the preview was funny too.

That was a good fun episode. Mugino was a lot of fun to watch in action there. It was an interesting showdown between the two since Mikoto was running on fumes there and had to fight creatively rather than head on. Just shows how crazy dangerous Mugino is though that even at the end Mikoto just had to run for it. Even after dropping her all that way the girl was still shooting like crazy .

Really was just good fun watching these Level 5s match up. Then of course Touma narrating the preview was worth some laughs too .
