I won't venture into this thread until I've seen the subs, because I don't want to be spoiled at all. I want to keep myself from seeing any mention of ????, ????, and what not. Besides, if it is something that I don't already know from watching seasons 1 and 2, I consider it a spoiler.

Please use spoiler tags. They are there for a reason. Spoiler tags won't bite your limbs off. Though a pissed of Desu might haunt you for the rest of your life.

Watching the Raw.

-->ZOMG IT EXPLAINS WHY GIN CAN HATE SHINKU in the first few minutes. Was Gin so strong-willed as to move and even, perhaps come into consciousness, by herself? She was literally Junk when Rozen was creating and laughing over the rest of the dolls. And she saw it! No wonder she feels out-casted. Yet, she was the first sister. Indeed, she was the first to be created; but left uncomplete on a shelf, only to watch the other sisters being complete and sent off to their mediums.. Yet why, Why? Why would Rozen do that?

In anycase, the scene shows her gasping wordlessly after Rozen's back, as he walks away lovingly carrying Shinku in his arms. No wonder she hates Shinku?


-->YAY HINA LIVES AGAIN In the past that is. Hee hee, Hina's side of the shelf in Jun's room is as messy as usual. Hanamaru-chan!! And Shinku is her usual KunKun fangirl self.


-->Looks like Souseiseki has been at her "I will be Alice" routine even way before Bara appeared on the scene. Shinku's and Souseiseki's fight was nice to see. Lots of hearty whacks, I must say. Then, just when they reach the climax in the fight (seeming to charge their artificial spirits for a mighty clash), Suiseiseki appears with her glorious shout of "Yamete!"


-->I just noticed the brooch Shinku was wearing on her ribbon had Rozen's image carved onto it. Not just that, the symbol carved on it appears to have him pressing a doll (Shinku perhaps, or Alice?) to his shoulder.

Ahh, I just watched the raw and I was grinning all the way through. That was so good!

Spoiler for Entire episode, with summary:

As a big fan of Souseiseki, I was very glad she wasn't going to be Rosa Mystica-less. Like the drama CDs, the OVA is set sometime during Traumend, when all the dolls (bar Kirakishou) are active.

After a chilling opening focusing on the shelved, neglected Suigintou, and a few nice, familiar scenes of Jun's house, Shinku asks Jun to re-sew the rose onto the knot of the bow at her neck, but when he goes to Enju's shop for thread, he buys a beautiful brooch that Enju has made and sews that on in place of the little rose. This reminds Shinku of the brooch she originally had, one with Rozen's likeness on it, and she tears off the brooch. Jun storms out, and it falls to Souseiseki to explain why she was so upset. Cue flashback...to Souseiseki and Shinku fighting in front of what looks rather reminiscent of Westminster Palace in London.

The fight was so great. Short but very sweet. I love how Souseiseki fights, and I laughed at haughty Shinku telling her that a lady ought not to refer to herself as 'boku'! Suiseiseku comes and breaks up the fight.

We meet Shinku's old medium, a spoilt little girl whose name I think was Sarah, who having felt her ring get hot knows Shinku has been fighting. She seems to think that Shinku's fighting prowess is admirable, while Shinku of course downplays such unladylike pursuits. She tells Sarah about her siblings, but can't recall Kanaria's name, and seems to think she's the eldest.

Suigintou appears from the mirror while Sarah is asleep, and while we've seen her present-day self callous as ever, cutting off the heads of Megu's roses and later crushing one of them, clearly hating the flowers for one reason or another, in the flashback she is lost, afraid and vulnerable, begging to know where Father is. Shinku asks for her name, and she gives it, saying she was Rozen's first doll. The episode ends with Shinku in shock.

The ED has interesting art, almost imitative of watercolours from children's books. Very western, very different - I like it, even though the music is somewhat insipid. Looks like more Shinku vs Boku next episode. Can't wait!

Overall, the art and animation is much the same as it was in the series, which is quite good enough for me. I can hardly wait to watch the rest.

Yes, even tho I'm no lover of Gin, seeing like that was painful.. you fanboys will cry But wow, it reveals so much about her!

Also, I really want the song that was playing when Gin appeared thru the mirror. I'm not sure, is it on one of the two OSTs? Does anyone have info about it?

The question that remains for me at the end of the day is:

Why did Rozen start on Gin and then leave her halfway to complete the others first?? Also, did Gin escape by herself? If so, that would finally explain why she had no torso. So it was really her willpower to find Rozen that made her like that.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure she got away on her own. I think that's why we had that scene of her crawling towards her clothes unaided. I guess they gave her the mystical power of levitation so that she could go and fetch her legs! Her not knowing where Rozen is also supports the idea that she got away on her own.
