I think in the future the Xenos tribes will make an alliance with the Hestia Familia since they're the only Familia that are on good terms.

I mean dio didnt notice hestia and her famillia as a treat.... also he saw the fight between apollo and hestia familia war... didnt he put this in consideration..... that his plan might ruin due to wildcard factor that is that hestia familia?

Did Aiz broaden her view of the Xenos after the arc?

I thought after the arc some of the Familia would be more understand (less narrow-minded) toward the Xenos despite still being uncomfortable with them.

Hopefully the Xenos tribe will return later in the series. I wonder how many people can tolerant the Xenos.

yes, although only a part of the loki familia is aware of that cooperation AFAIK ( the upper brass, as well as the "fairy squad " (or something like that) which was already present when the coop was decided , and that's about it I think.

While I'm not too happy it went in that direction, but thanks to that the plot is moving.

Thanks to his training, Bell is now able to handle girls better.
Thanks to Welf, he manned up and was able to reject Syr.
Now that Freya was rejected as Syr, as well as the "contract" being violated, she doesn't have a reason to use the persona and probably won't go back to the tavern.
With Syr out of the equation, Ryuu will be more willing to join the Hestia familia to help Bell. Even more so considering Freya is going on the offensive, so Ryuu will be needed.
Didn't read Familia Chronicle yet, so dunno if it was already said, but it was nice to know that Ryuu is one of Freya's favourites. Her being important to Syr made her important to her. I wonder if it means the same for the children of the orphanage?
And finally, the reason of the rejection, Aiz. Seeing Bell flirting with Syr made her jealous and she's wondering what is this feeling. Finally, the romance side is moving a little.

Oomori said he wanted to release vol 17 at the same time with 16, but couldn't. Just after that he said to wait a little for next volume. But he always says that, so let's hope it won't take another year, as next volume will probably be action packed.

What's this 'contract' thing?

Anyway, the main worry I have with Oomori when it comes to scheduling is the amount of workload he's taking up. The amount of content that he's involved with in DanMemo only gets bigger year over year, and now he's writing a new manga on the side as well. Juggling four works, with the occasional detour of Familia Chronicle.

Will try my best to explain it easily:

There was a girl who hated herself and her life. She wanted to die. But then, she met a goddess: Freya.
Freya asked her if she had a wish.
She answered she wanted to become her.
Freya formed a contract with her. She would give the girl a name, and in exchange, she would give hers to Freya.
Thus, the girl, Syr, became Helun, and Freya gained the persona called "Syr".
It's not explained how the contract works, though.
Helun obtained the skill to transform into Freya (which also means Syr, as Syr = Freya). When using this skill, she looks just like her, has the presence of a Goddess (but not the power) and has access to the five senses as well as Freya's feelings.
Because of that, she discovered something: that the Syr persona was liking Bell way too much, too normally, just like a simple girl.
Helun hated that, so she tried to kill Bell, which is treason against Freya. (it's insinued she was killed by Allen & co)
As for Syr (Freya) she confessed to Bell, but was rejected. So she decided to stop playing around as Syr, and will now obtain him as Freya.
Also, as Helun was most likely killed, she can't really become Syr anymore because there isn't anyone to remplace her as Freya while she does. (hypothesis from me here)

While the execution still needs to hit the landing right, I'm actually glad it was this direction.

Sure, with this development, "Syr" as we know it is gone, and it reframes a lot of the past relationship and characterization of Syr's character to Ryu, Bell, etc.

But on the flipside, I'd like to think this could potentially make Freya more interesting. E.g. how much of how she acted when she was Syr was herself, how did she feel about the relationships she built while she was being Syr, etc. This makes the eventual conflict or showdown between Freya and Bell more meaningful, because now Bell will have to eventually find out and comes to terms with facing 'Syr', not just a goddess he barely knows.

I find it amusing that it's the opposite of Haruhime's arc. Haruhime's story sets her up as a prostitute not worthy of being saved by a hero, but turns out she never crossed the line anyway. While Syr who was always normal and not lustful in a physical way, is now the goddess of love literally who has slept with half of Orario.

Like I said in my first spoiler, Ryuu is one of Freya's favourites, so it implies that she was the one to save her. Heck, I'm pretty sure that Helun, who hated herself when she was Syr, almost never transformed into Syr and only into Freya.

I still think that Helun is alive because they never showed her dying. Also Bell tried really hard to keep her alive so having her die would seem kinda pointless
