If they do animate all of parts, it give me a reason to not give up on anime yet. this means that every anime years can be shit, I will carry on as long as more Jojo is animated and as good as this first series.

Does the DVD version differ from the televised version? How are DVD sales?

BD/DVD removed the censorship and improved the art drastically. Sales are good.

Nothing has been announced of a license yet. If there is one, then it will likely be announced this weekend at Comic-Con (if Viz has it) or next month at Otakon (if anyone else has it).

Apparently the series is getting a rerun around the 5th of October, can anyone confirm?

Hmm...weird...I read the comments section, but it seems there is some animosity between JoJo-fans and Kyojin-fans over there. Why?

It sucks to be them, I am one of those who loves both series.

Speaking of a special announcement, I just posted about this in the thread for the Jojo manga, but according to a translation of the next SJ issue's TOC, THE NEXT SEASON OF THE ANIME HAS BEEN CONFIRMED!

Recently just started to watch this (until ep8 so far), never really expect it could be such a great show.

JoJo does reminds me Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star), although I've little knowledge for both series. (Never read the manga nor watching older TVA or OVA of both series)

Will definitely watch the current-airing Stardust Crusaders once I finish watching this 2012 series.

Finished it last week.
I can't see the appeal people see in this series, to be honest. The art design is definitely different from the usual skinny high schoolers that invade the anime landscape (although it's, of course, excessive in it's own way, as if the population of that planet were all humans without the myostatin gene and far too high levels of testosterone in males, and estrogen in females), but the story itself, despite spanning centuries, is not that compelling (IMHO), and all the "testosterone-fuelled epicness" people talk about it's just a continuous streams of one-upping, both vocally (are these people shouting their plans before putting them in action stupid or what?) and practically...

Might be interesting for young people, but this anime definitely doesn't present a model of masculinity that should be followed...

The thing to keep in mind: the 2012-2013 anime only covers the first two "generations" of Jojo, with the elements that makes Jojo so memorable to some people really starting to pick up around the third "generation" which is the basis for Jojo anime that is airing in 2014 and 2015.
