I hope we get to see more of the girls that where really neglected in the series.
I'm thinking about Melpha but mostly Nyx, Ymir and Cattleya had small parts...even
Rana had more air time then they did.

Looks like the OVA aired on AT-X recently, next episode is Alleyne, can't wait to see the creditless ending

hoping the BD/DVD also has some more stuff too, though i kinda doubt that, although the next one (8/25) comes with some kind of promo

Is this anime mostly filled with female cast and has a yuri atmosphere to it? I haven't seen this anime yet and wanted to ask before I view it. I know there is a lot action like fighting but if it's yuri related, I'll just pass.

I'm sure a lot of guys here are into girl on girl situation but I don't.

Are there any males in the anime. The only one I've read about was Cattleya's son and that's about it.

oh come this series got like over 19 who's who female from all range & mention who's who of female seiyu really what else to ask?

as for male besides cat's son there also cat's husband (who look like conan the barbarrian despite name is owen sound like conan) & vance's sisters father.

but really who cares for males since we got over 19 qb's females in it.

If your criterion is males, there is no dearth of anime that focuses on males and/or panders to that point of view. Thus, I suggest you look elsewhere. Queen's Blade is an anime with an all-female cast save a little shouta, a few lines from Cattleya's husband, and the father of Elina and Leina.

Queen's Blade is the quintessential anime for us Yuri fans where there is no annoying male lead to get in the way of some good old Yuri action. I would say that Yuri is a theme of Queen's Blade but not the main one.

Well, with an all-female cast, there are bound to be yuri undertones, especially with a female cast as large as QB's; however, I wouldn't really say there is any actual yuri couples in the series; a lot of strong undertones, but nothing canon (well, as of yet; personally, I'm hoping the next OVA changes that).

Also, I wouldn't say there's a lot of action in QB. QB is about the interaction between the large cast of interesting female characters; fighting is simply one of the methods of the character interaction.

And as far as males go, Rana (Catteleya's son) is the best your gonna get, and even he looks like a little girl, heh.

Personally, the lack of male characters is one of the main reasons I love QB.

There's only two characters off-hand who do anything even remotely yuri. For one, that's more of a dominance thing than an actual sexual thing. The other is hard to say, but I guess it qualifies as wincest.

Man she and Owen in the flashback killing a HUGE monster was prove that they're very strong indeed and has great weapons.
