Looking to start a new type of fansubbing group

I'm looking to start a group that will fansub anime and then stream it. This will eliminate long downloads and hopefully bring viewers in. This idea may sound impossible but it's really not out of reach. I'm not exactly sure if this is legit, however the only material that will be streamed is unlicensed fansubbed anime. If you are interested in helping to create this new group please PM me.

Are you sure? You're not going to get any quality out of sub 500kbs streams at the MININUM, and what if you do go with 500kbs and 100 people jump on the stream?

I'm not saying you've underestimated this, but I'm not saying you haven't underestimated this either. You might have access to REALLY insane bandwidth, so please just correct me if I'm wrong :P

Also, what about people who do want to download your subs? (I'm not really interested in an inferiour steamed product). Will you give access to a standard hard-downloaded version?

The idea was to stream episodes for those who cannot be bothered to download. However high-quality versions will be available via bittorrent.

It sounds like a very interesting idea, and I know many people who'd be interested... however, personally, I always prefer to keep all of my downloads. Hell, I usually keep every fansub I've downloaded even after it's been licensed and I've bought the official DVDs.

You could use the streamed encoding of VP6 wich is pretty good.
But I don't approve your idea.

You should may be make very small file (like 36mo each eps) if you want ppl with to discover at a low cost the anime you are subbing.

Are you talking about streaming the video using an .asx container? I'm sure there are tutorials for something like that on the Microsoft website.
