lol, i heard there's quite a big queue for diablo 3 in singapore. One of my cousins decided to hold off his purchase till next week to avoid the queue. Thank god for digital purchase, i don't really have the time or energy to go queue for games these days.

If I got a gold piece for every time somebody TANKS the Molten trail, or ignores the Frozen mines, or walks through the Arcane rotary laser-cutters... it would pay for all my repair bills... indefinitely.

People are not getting it that the Champion packs are now more deadly than the Bosses... and drop better loot too.

That's one of the known improvements. No matter what, big bosses are predictable, and you can design your gear around killing them. Randomised Champions? They are the dangerous ones. Making them drop better loot is the right decision. You must always make sure the reward matches the difficulty.
(There was a Champion Pack ability so over-powered that Blizzard never let it reach Beta. The one where all the Champion pack share the same life bar. This means the only way to kill any of them is to inflict damage that adds up to every enemy's health in the pack. Blizzard testers couldn't kill them, so it was taken out.)

On that note, how are the location randomised super chests? Are they as good as Blizzard claimed?

Everyone gets their own set of loot drops. The only thing is that Magic Find% are average out from the party total so you can't have one guy loaded with magic find stat do final blow to increase loot quality.

Are you referring to the ones in the random dungeons? If so, they definitely drop much higher quality loot. I frequently get rares from them with 0 Magic Find. You will need to go out of your way to get to them though.

On a lighter note... I predict the number one cause of death in Hell/Inferno is going to be the Treasure Goblin... ...

Anybody got any decent yellow rare items yet? I found a shield, axe and sash....needless to say I was excited.

Skeleton king = dead btw he wasn't that hard.

Well, if Nightmare is any indication, Hell and Inferno will be something like playing a Touhou game, but you control movement with mouse-clicks.

Seriously though, it is Blizzard's fault that they turned DIII into an online-only game. That was the reason the poor kid missed out. If it was offline, he could just get the game off someone else.

That would be impossible since in South Korea, your game ID also include your SSN.

Melee Wiz is actually much more fun than I thought, although the problem is always how do I survive in the middle of chaos. Dps is too low if I focus on surviving gear, and when I tried the opposite, it took me 2 hit to be on the red screen of death.

Diamond Skin + Ice Armor + Magic Weapon + Wave of Force = Melee Wizard Ownage

Although I am enjoying the hell out of all-range Laser Wizard at the moment. Disintegrate with the Chaos Nexus rune turns your Wizard into a Point Defense Laser system that automatically kills anyone that gets close, and you still get to swing your big, long red shiny laser beam of death around.

The 10 second delay to leave a game as well as the fact your friends can't save your equipment after death makes hardcore a bit less appealing. I've noted in my non-hardcore plays that quite a few people are dying to lag spikes. :S

Yes! that is why I don't, one second lag spikes can lead to your death. I won't TOUCH hardcore till I have a secure 100ms latency 24/7
