Oh and is it true to what Nagi is saying about the anime? I haven't got the time to watch it.

Her manga really has leveled up over the years...not that it's good now but atleast it doesn't invoke rage in the reader

In the current chapter Nagi pretty much said "screw the story! If people saw the anime everyone knows I'm going to win!"

I thought so too, but it looks like the mangaka just made it canon so looks like that's where we are going. unless that was a jab at the anime writers for going ahead of him but it was pretty funny how Nagi just spoiled everyone who didn't watch the anime

The chapter was great and all thanks to the fourth wall breaking ownage, but honestly I need more Yukiji. Only she can revive my love for this manga. I'm actually losing interest, better take a break for awhile.

I can't cite where Hata-sensei stated this, but I was told sometime back that he publicly stated that the CTMEOY anime was canon. I had suspected that, based on how the story was told, but this chapter puts that in stone. It also establishes Heaven is a Place on Earth movie as canon, which is cool since...

Basically, it appears that Hata-sensei decided to use the anime format to tell stories that he couldn't work into the manga for whatever reasons (which in the case of these two animes, would be because they are side stories and don't push the main plot forward at all).

Depends on how you define "winning" -- Charlie Sheen? In any case, Ruka may produce a better manga and sell more copies etc., but the end result is that Nagi goes back to the mansion (apparently getting the inheritance back) and Hayate doesn't marry Ruka (for now). Nagi may not "win" but somehow she gets the rewards, so the only question is how and at what price (if any). Besides taxes.

On another note, Ruka wearing a bridal dress in CTMEOY makes sense now.

I still think it's possible that Ruka draws the better manga but forfeits the contest because she couldn't win over Hayate either way.
