Well.. I don't know if this is the most appropriate thread, however the 2nd StrikerS DVD comes out relatively soon and of course someone got it early and ripped it!

I kinda don't feel like linking them all the comparisons so here:

A better place would probably be the image thread, although since it deals with the DvDs this is ok I guess... But the image thread would probably be the best place. If not a new thread about differences between the dvds and tv versions, although that may be overkill and don't know if the mods would make one.

but I do see the difference between the aired version and DVD version...theres surely a huge difference and I never knew that it was going to make that much of a difference between aired TV version and the DVD version...plus I guess the animation of the fights and training scenes should have been ramped up in the DVDs since lately, the fight animations in the latest episode seems to have dimmed down a bit...

Yea, there really is a huge difference. The same was true with Nanoha and A's from what I understand, although I never saw the TV versions of those personally. Really makes you want to either import the R2s or that some group starts re-encoding with the DvD sources.

Spoiler for large pic:

I put spoiler tags around that image since it's a fairly large image...

Anyways, I think I like her even less now, that face is still just...

It's quite shiny ^_^. Unless it's the lighting they used for the picture.

Probably 50/50. It does seem to have a (high?) gloss finish on it, but they always take promo pis under bright lights, which even on a flat finish is going to cause a little glow.

Sorry to say, but they wont be listing that or selling it in a store. Now, I can't read japanese, but that is the book from the comic market (or something) 72 which took place earlier this month. The fact it shows a date the 72 is good indication for that. Is is the fact that some other people from this thread were linking it and talking about it earlier.

The StrikerS Side A book was sold at the Comiket 72 convention which took place August 17-19th. The most reliable way of getting it at this point would be to buy a copy through Yahoo Auctions Japan. Keep in mind though, that most sellers won't send overseas so you would probably need to use a brokerage service as an intermediary.

That's awesome looking! I've never bought anything like those before to be honest. This, and some previous Fate pictures are making wish I had.

Some Garage Kits are as good as those release in PVC and/or even more detail then those PVC counterparts.

30000 Japanese Yen = USD$261

If you really want you can join the bid at "Yahoo!Japan Auction"

But just a reminder that the figurine is unassembled and unpainted, so you probably had to sent for a 3rd party paint/assemble job or DIY
