Issa's a vampire and a pretty strong one at that so the brutality is explained. Whatever brutality Moka has, she definitely gets it from Issa. Even fighting Alucard, Akasha didn't really come off as being 'brutal', more of 'calm determination'.

Here's a pic from the NYCC of someone dressed as Moka-san. I was so excited because it's rare to see someone other than your typical action heroes or theme of the year types (which seemed to be Vocaloids and FMA this year).

I really wanted to dress up as Blade and get with a Moka and Alucard(Hellsing) cosplayer and make these Twilighters learn their place this Halloween...
 My battle cry shall be: DEATH TO SPARKLES!! I doubt if anyone's actually gonna dress up as Edward or any of them (lucky them) so I guess I'll have to hunt elsewhere...  ...hnnn, it's been a while but I feel a tug at my fanfiction strings...I'll see what can be done about it... :3

I just got my Highschool Of The Dead complete series last week and i finally sat down and started to watch it. The R+V anime is for pre-order and won't come out until december 20th, seasons 1 and 2 are like 60 bucks! I hope the price gets lowered before they come out

So as I'm going through and catching up with the scanlations (I just finished ch 30), there's two things I've noticed so far:
First off, as we speculate about the Dark Lords every now and then... we actually get a relatively good view of what's under Mikogami's hood... we get all of the lower half of his face, and then it turns into the shaded area with the glowy eyes. So mark in the book that he's definitely a long-lived youkai of some sort... unless that's an illusion or something, similar to what Fuhai does note two, and this comes right after reading 30- as we get the attack on the mansion, Issa says that if the intruders make it through the defenses, he'll gladly fight them himself... and then he sends Akasha to take care of it. Which lends itself to a few theories. One, it's possible that because of Akasha's nature, Issa may never have seen her full power as a Dark Lord... I say this because he's making the old move of "send out your weaker defenders to meet the enemy". Which of course leads to the 100,000 dollar question, how strong is Issa truly?(the million dollar is, where the hell is Issa currently?) Obviously, Akasha may have fallen for him because he seems to be peaceful as well. But let's also keep in mind that no matter how strong their control, vampires are still a species with a war-like nature, and therefore will be impressed with strength and power. Which again, because of Akasha's title of Dark Lord, makes me wonder just how powerful Issa is in order for her to have fallen in love with the man? [/end thoughts about current readings]

Finished reading ch.36~46 after a loooong break as I was waiting for the chapters to pile up...gotta say this is still one of the best manga out there, the thread totally deserves its 1,790,415 views and over 21k replies! I had forgotten that the plot takes harem very seriously like that...even though Ruby is fabulous, Kurumu's still my fav

I really can't see Kahula as being one of Issa's actually blooded children, especially if Kokoa is any indication. But really, Kokoa looks more like Akasha's child rather than Gyokuro's...I guess that is one factor that still has me going 0.o every now and then.
And just a bit off topic - New Underworld movie. From what I heard, plot goes like this: "WHERE IS MICHAEL!?" 0.0...yeah, I'm gonna have fun channeling Moka thru Selene in this one. XD ...*goes to find my old R+V/Underworld file* I stopped it because I couldn't figure out how to write in the rest of the Shuzens along with Victor, being the grand high pain in the arse that he was... And Issa's definitely too cool to replace with him...
