Lately, I have spent a couple hours on Ryu ga Gotoku 2 but for some reason.. I couldn't trigger the Cabaret Mission. Instead, I have succeeded over 20-30 missions in both Kanto and Kansai. Since I had been buying lots of stuff trying to unlock additional HEAT mode moves, I only have 11 million yen. Even after spending 1.5 million yen, I still don't have any equipment for battles and if this keeps up.. I will have difficulty doing the cabaret mission since 10 million yen is required to do it.

I'm not technically playing them all at the moment, but I got these sitting on my desk unopened until the semester is over:
- Uncharted 2 - Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time - Demon's Souls And these I'm playing whenever I get a chance: - Borderlands (totally addicted) - Bioshock - Final Fantasy V Advance

PC-
Finished Umineko (1-4) waiting for 5 to be completely translated. Finished Sharin no Kuni (in only a week). Was extremely interesting (awesome characters), so spent a few nights to finish it. Just started Ever 17. Not as interesting as Sharin no Kuni, so will probably take me a few weeks. Dragon Age as a human noble (choosing cruel/evil options) PS1- Started Persona 2: Innocent Sin. PS2- Almost done with Persona 4. Currently on the actual "killer's" dungeon. Damn spoilers ruined the pleasure of guessing who the killer is. |

Moero Downhill Night Type R - JASTUSA release. Having fun right now editing out a few things from the script, adding sound events, and just laughing my ass off at the amount of references JASTUSA put into the English release (eg. 88mph). Fellow Initial D World member Nomake Wan will be doing a LIVE review of this on the IDW Video Stream. PSP- SD Gundam G Generation Portable - Trying to go through Stage 4 of Gundam ZZ without losing any of my team to a lucky hit. Gran Turismo Portable - Still collecting cars.

Picked up Torchlight via Steam recently... this is where Steam excels for me. Offering wonderful little games for $10/$20 dollars that give me a lot of entertainment $/hr.
Torchlight is a dungeon trawl that is reminiscent of oldies like Darkstone (or maybe the original Diablo). The skill tree is interesting because you can mix and match across parallel lines as well as go down a tree, making *very* unique characters. My only complaint so far is that with such ultimate skill tree customization... you'd think they'd have put in more player control over character appearance. The pet has an interesting duty... it can run loot up to town and sell it ("Whats that Lassie? 50gp for the sword?"). A fishing minigame lets you catch fish that buff you or your pet up (my favorite are the pet "morph into acidic blob ooze" spells). Oh... one of the niftiest bits is that not only can you set the hardness level - but you can turn on Perma-death. That's something hardly any younger players get to see anymore -- screw up and die? You have to ROLL ANOTHER CHARACTER In other news.... working through the second playthrough of Borderlands, my comments are in that thread.
