Saito at first stays away from Louise because he thinks taht he is useless and stuff without his powers and since Louise only needs him for his powers he doesn't see why he should return the way he is now.

Agnes, searching for him (following Henrietta's order) comes to a forest where Saito is living with the Elf who brought him back to life. Then Saito starts training with Agnes so even if he lost all his special powers he wouldn't be a useless pushover. Meanwhile Louise is in a total depression and tries to kill jherself, but is stopped by Siesta and Guiche's mud statue for Saito (she and Seista still fell down and would have died if not falling on that thing). With Siesta's help Louise regains her spirit (Louise and Siesta are sort of rivals/friends in the novels, something that doesnt have a chance of happening in anime, as there is no development in the cahracters and Siesta actually regressed in the second season) Louise tries to track in many ways but they are all based on his contract which was broken and thus everytime there is no results.

Louise and Siesta do not give up and go on a travel to the same forest where Saito lives. They find the elf house but Saito is hiding as he doesnt want to face Louise. Louise finds saitos gravestone and his torn parka, Siesta breakes there believing that he really is dead now, Louise though, she also cries she doesnt want to believe and doenst give up on finding Saito.

Siesta and Louise and Saito spend a night in the same house, but at night Louise sees a Saito (fake) outside the window, follows him and gets into enemies trap, and before being killed she shouts for Saito who appears right before her to save her.

He cannot beat the enemy mage but at least protects Louise. At home Louise is all tsuntsun deredere mode with Saito, not really knowing if to beat him up or to cuddle with him all night. But first things first and they restore the contract by the same way it happened at the beginning - a kiss.

Siesta and Tiffania leaves the two lovers alone (though Siesta is reluctant and says that this is for this one night only) which leads to a rather hot night between Louise and Saito where it almost lead to them having sex.

And then...ah wait I already told more than intended.

Basically contract was restored by Louise kissing Saito again, and Saito gets his powers back, and is actually stronger because of his training when he was without powers.

As you can see anime decided that this all story was not as good as "ZOMG I was saved by the big breasts elf! Beat me up!" 2 minutes ending.

I didn’t like how Siesta turned out in 2nd season either... Her whole charm was that she was all cute and shy and adorable...

I didn't really dislike the ending, just the stupid way Saito talked about it... It could have ended romantically, with Saito and Louise kissing and then getting back to the academy and getting a hero's welcome... It'd be really cool to se Saito getting some real respect... But they decided to end it with a joke, oh well...

Yeah it was Saito, not Seista. The Siesta/Louise yuri crap happened in the 12 volume though (I hated just like I hated the whole volume of it as it was mostly just fanservice, so i guess this will be the volume that anime will focus upon, as they like to keep ZnT dumb and terrible).
