Bleach Episode 219 Discussion Thread

Ahoy! Yumichika... done. Kira... disturbingly served. In comes Shuuhei.. the unperturbed, indifferent vice captain with 69 tattoo on his face inherited from the Mr. 69 himself out of eternal gratitude for saving his hide. This young gun hasn't done much in Bleach story line thus far as is the case for a lot of cool faces in the midst of this show's huge cast. Will he shine? I know I'm looking forward to it. If the preview was any indicator, the animators will draw some good lines and attempt at some good movements in this episode.

My only worry is the music. Just have those crappy noises called music conceived in the midst of equally crappy filler story line out of it, and I shall be so happy. Bleach has already demonstrated more than a few time that it is capable of composing good background music suited for the action at hand. Let's get it done.

Enjoy the episode and the subsequent talks that inspires it.

wow, I was actually impressed by the original content added to this one. Shuuhei was always one of the lieutenants that I had wanted to see stuff from and he did not disappoint.

Spoiler for episode contents:

Kira is anything but unpopular. In fact, he's the 6th most popular character in the whole series.

Great episode. This was probably the best animation I've seen since 166.

So I've heard. And I gotta wonder why they're wasting all the budget on a fairly unimportant fight that is nothing compared to some of the other ones coming up ahead. Oh well, at least this episode will be good eyecandy.

Wasn't at Ichigo vs GJ quality, but still good. Especially compared to the usual. Anyone know who did keyanimation? No Ogiso Shingo in this one?

I'd say it wasn't as good as the last Ichigo vs Grimmjow (ep 166), but it was as good as the first Ichigo vs Grimmjow (ep 121). Though I have yet to watch it in high quality, so it may not be that good. But it was great anyway.

Watched the RAW. It was a really good episode. The coversations weren't too long and streched and the action was quick-paced and well animated. Wished they put this much attention to all fights.

This episode instantly owned anything that was animated in Bleach in the last 50 episodes.

Shiny blood. That right there is a dead giveaway that the same team that animated the first Grimmjow/Ichigo fight also animated this one.

I have to say that I'm totally impressed by this episode. Not because Hisagi is one of my favorites but the animation and the music was top notch and I can't remember when I enjoyed a fight like this one. Finally got to see his awesome Zanpakutō and his skills in using it. And I don't care what you people say like ''unimportant fight'', this guy is important to some people and I love Bleach because unlike some other anime, it gives fair enough of screentime to minor characters. I wanted to see a fight since I saw the guy and waiting for all this time was totally worth it. 10/10

Does anyone know if the music is new (i.e new soundtrack), or from the 3rd movie?

I hope it's new. The original tracks are overused, as are those of the 2nd movie.

now that was nice to watch not only the eye candy, the fight choreography was refreshing after some bad examples(Noi/Nell and Noi/Kenpachi).. and as a bonus they picked some nostalgic music from the early days of bleach on some points
