Oh right i've totally forgotten about iba. All I can really remember about him was when he was sad that nobody noticed him.

I would really like to see someone that we haven't seen yet and since iba was going toe-to-toe with shikai ikkaku he seems to fit the bill.

Urahara, on the other hand, is a straight forward good guy who is waging war because he has Soul Society's interest in mind and want to protect what this organization represent at all cost. With that in mind, the philosophy derived by these two (Tousen and Urahara) might have come from two different mind under different circumstances, but ultimately they are both right in their own understanding. The underlying meaning behind their philosophies are also one and the same.
Tousen reminds me of an enlightened man during the Neo-Renaissance era. It is actually quite interesting to see Tousen pull out spells, or sometimes fight.

Explosive article with equally effective visual aid. That sort of drawing skill can't be acquired. It's god given talent. Got to love this girl.

Besides in preview we did see Komamura so maybe he?
A captain class coming to the rescue won't make much sense considering they have formidable foes right in front of them. Even the absence of one of these captains for the shortest of duration weakens the Shinigami side significantly. I don't think the captain fur-ball is that dumb....

It's perhaps one of the outsiders we didn't consider. May be the Vaizard will start showing up. Even better would be if Ichigo's dad makes an appearance. Then again, he won't give away his identity that easily now, will he? We shall see.

well he does have a dog gigai
and i think he would be a good choice since his zanpakto was never really explained and it seems like kubo wants to clear up everyones powers before aizen kills them all

crap...apologies for whoever read the apparent spoiler...i keep forgetting this isn't the chapter thread.

i think renji and ikkaku would probably be equal in strength. from the previous episode when ikkaku first does his bankai, it seemed to have a lot of attack but hardly any defense since it pretty much shattered after the battle. reji's on the other hand has pretty good defensive as well as good offensive abilities.

He got owned by Aizen, which I found rather comical than depressing. (This was during the Rukia arc). Just as he got all angry because Tousen was betraying him and was on the verge of attacking. Aizen just pointed his finger, and ripped him to shreds with a spell.

Like if he didn't do the same thing to Ichigo and Hitsugaya

Well the gesture of his hand when doing the spell was like this:
Aizen: "SIT DOG!"
Captain: *Gets enclosed in a purple box*
Captain: *Drops to the floor shortly after the spell is done*
Aizen: "GOOD BOY, and you even ROLLED OVER for me!"
Gin: "Yes, your a cute wittle doggie are you not? Good job obeying your scary master*
Aizen: "Walks away, humbly smiling, as if he were a king"

Lol, well give some credit to the furball captain. At least he can pull off a good falcon punch with his bankai.

Very good episode, but what I'm really posting for is to find out if anyone knows the name of the soundtrack that played during Hisagi's comeback, just after he releases his Shikai? I must find it!

Much appreciated.

On Topic, does anyone find it interesting that Hisagi follows the teachings of the man who is responsible for betraying his first shinigami admiration (Kensei)?
