If I'm not mistaken, the description of the HG Raphael that came out a long time ago mentioned that the backpack is a dummy of some sort. So I dont think they're even trying to hide it from us.

But its always been fair, its not like your forced to buy the same parts again mostly with few additions unlike the recoloured versions or new variant versions so its like a new kit of its own.

Does Bandai even have a NG 1/100 line anymore? The last original kit I remember coming out was the 1/100 Seravee, and that was over a year ago....

I have had my eye on the Hi Nu for awhile. But Curious, HG or MG?
Spoiler for Reference Picture.:

Fyi, the HG version only has two detachable funnels.

I'd go for the MG if $$ is not an issue. You'd (of course) get more out of it.

Also, there might be an alternative color scheme out there based on the new gunpla building Gundam anime.

I have the MG; and I can say it is truly amazing.

It is pretty damn huge, has cool gimmicks; a GOOD bazooka right out of the box and the inner frame is amazing.
Its very sturdy, has the usual piping and the armor fits on seamless.

The only problem I have with it is that you need to pay attention to sanding down your hipjoint parts and not confusing the 2 sizes of pistons.

I am thinking MG overall; I have the MG myself and some poses seem weird for the MG to pull off so im not sure.

Great job on it none the less.

The Seed sidestory releases was less than that I believe. As are the Designer Color of the S2 Gundams.

I hardly think they're going to just drop the 1/100 line together. They may have not expanded it much, but the main Gundams would get a release at least.

I'm primarily a HG 1/144 collector though, and even though I also (used to) collect the A.D. 1/100 lines, I gave up on the S2 Gundams because of the waist issue. I understand 00 Raiser, but I'm not sure why they did it for Arios and Cherudim as well.

The most important part about this addon is how easily it attaches to the back of the unit. From what we see it simply clips on the back unit. Possible field modifications, changing equipment? Certainly gives a lot of quick refitting options.

It is expectable 00 Qan[T] get another sword since it is not as bulky as 00 Raiser yet.
