meeting between garp and dandan brought more tears to my eyes than the death of ace himself

i dont say this about many episodes but this was 10/10 in my books

He got fat in a past episode but even if you missed that episode the opening stills shows him as fat.

Looking foward to when Zoro and Mihawk meet up again, as shown in the preview.

Fantastic episode. Music placement was so damn good, especially during my favourite scene with Shanks.

Episodes after Ace's death have been rly deep. From death of Sabo until last episode ( currently) I almost cryed. They make you THINK back to time where everything was still fun and everyone was happy.

Really a great episode all around. Had the part with Shanks and the graves, Dadan slugging Garp, and of course everything surrounding Luffy.

I really was with Dadan when she was just beating the crap out of Garp. Who cares that he could easily beat her, there as no way she was going to just stand there as he walked around getting a hero's welcome. Obviously it's killing him too, but he was there and had the ability to take action. Of course beating Garp into oblivion isn't going to bring Ace back nor make Luffy feel any better.

Finally Luffy has seen the light and is reminded that he isn't alone here. There were insane numbers of strong enemies in the way in that battle and Luffy more or less had to charge in alone. He had support, but the crew was all over the place.

Crazy to think how long it's been since they've been together.

When Jinbe was screaming at Luffy, he started to listen and realized how much he'd lost and how much damage his body had received. He was almost K.O.'d by each Admiral at least once... But what's scary, is how he was punched by Sengoku... The man is the most powerful force in the Government and Marines combined.

Whilst recounting all this, Luffy entered that weird mental state of confinment. This,

would cripple him indefinitely, had it not been Jinbe to reassure Luffy with the Nakama who were still alive.

I really like Jinbe. He and Shanks are better father figures to Luffy than Dragon could ever be.

It was nice getting to see everyone's reaction to the news of Ace's death. It was even
enough to shock Sanji out of "gay mode".

It'll be interesting to see what the crew does next.

Zoro parts were the best part!
I still wonder why Kuma sent them away , which obviously should make them stronger / smarter somehow by training , but why? I guess the answer was the part when Kuma said something secrettly to Reyleh

Having Sanji wake the hell up thanks to that news was the best part. The make-up and everything just melted away. There's no time getting caught up in that crazy place after finding out what happened to Ace and that Luffy was there when it happened.

I believe Rayley or Ivankov said that at that point there was a tiny bit of Kuma still in the machine. Once they saw him again in the war, he was all gone (maybe? knowing Oda and anime in general he'll probably go against the new programing at the most opportune moment in a battle).

Kuma was a revolutionary, he knew that Luffy is Dragons son, so he helped Straw Hat crew to escape from Kizaru and become stronger.
