Chapter 1 – Sakamachi Kureha
11am, the morning where Jiro made his marriage proposal. He, Subaru and Kanade left school early to prevent more trouble. They’re now back at the rebuilt Sakamachi home. Jiro begs Kanade to let him be a butler of the Suzutsuki family. Kanade doesn’t allow it. Jiro gulped, thinking it sort of makes sense that Kanade won’t agree easily because of what a butler means to her. Then Kanade reveals it’s mostly because Jiro will be less interesting that way – marrying into the Konoe family, his name will be ‘Konoe Kinjiro’ and she can’t make the ‘Sakama chikin Jiro’ jokes (ie, chicken) anymore.
Jokes (and Jiro’s snarking replies) aside, Kanade agrees for Jiro to be her butler. Jiro thought he misunderstood Kanade, she’s still a good person who will help her friends if they’re in trouble, despite being a incurable Sadist. As he was thinking Kanade’s a kind girl, the ojou-sama dropped the bombshell it’s mostly because she’ll be able to toy with him all day, every day if Jiro was her butler; it’s the biggest mistake in her life to not have thought of this before. Jiro takes all the good thing he thought about her back, and reaffirms she’s the devil incarnate.
Seeing Jiro’s look, Kanade commented if he keeps looking like that then someone will cry. Jiro says there’s no way she’ll cry with only something like this. Kanade clarified it’s not her that’s the one who’ll cry, it’ll be him. After Jiro exclaimed “why?!”, Kanade explained with how Jiro is struggling she can’t help but want to bully him and drive him to tears. Jiro protested that Kanade shouldn’t be saying something scary like with a embarrassed ‘dere’ face. Kanade uses the fact Jiro rejected her confession as a excuse for her actions, and Jiro gives up.
Kanade says after seeing Jiro’s proposal in front of the entire school, she can only give up. She tells Subaru to not be sorry about how things have turned out, they’re still friends, and wants Subaru to go back to call her ‘Kana-chan’. Kanade then teases Subaru, asking why isn’t she being all lovey-dovey with Jiro. Using the excuse seeing Subaru kissing Jiro will make her give up on going after him, Kanade asked Subaru to kiss Jiro. Jiro is embarrassed having to do this in front of Kanade, but after Subaru asked him does he not like kissing her he gave up due to the cuteness overload.
They kissed (image here:

Then it turns out Kanade had taken pictures and videos of it with her cellphone, and proceeds to tease them both mercilessly with it (like saying she’ll put it up on her widescreen TV when she gets back home to watch it again).
Jiro brought up if it’s really alright for him to be her butler, and Kanade says she should be able to convince her father and the other servants. The main issue here is Subaru’s father, Nagare. Then Kanade says she already sent him the video she took of Jiro and Subaru kissing, and emails about what happened earlier that morning. Jiro thought Kanade must want to kill him or something. Kanade then said it’s better if she’s the one who explained things to Nagare, since if it’s Jiro or Subaru who’s doing so then he’ll probably go wild. Kanade tried to call him and see what he says, but found she can’t reach him. Subaru says it’s probably because he crushed the cellphone after seeing what Kanade sent him.
Kanade says she will now explain what a butler’s job involves. Jiro glanced at Subaru and thought rather than be a servant it has more to do with fighting than with anything like serving tea. Kanade then reveals the work of her butler is: be intimate with his mistress. Jiro thought his first job as her butler would have to be to check her into a hospital to get her brain diagnosed, and it’ll be best if she stays in there for a prolonged period. He’ll definitely serve her well in her time there.
Kanade asked if he’s thinking something rude right now, and he says no, he’s just suspicious if his future employer has a sound mind or not. Kanade says she’s serious about her description, and Jiro finally gave in and snarked about what the hell is she saying. There’s no way a butler’s job is that right?
Kanade asked Subaru if she agrees with her job description, and Subaru blushed. Jiro thought something’s not right, and asked if she can tell him what a butler has to do, being his predecessor. Subaru bit her lips embarrassedly and said with slightly moist eyes she can’t explain, it’s too embarrassing. Jiro went “Why is it too embarrassing!?” and Subaru replied in a whisper and blushing bright red “B-because… all this time Kana-chan did all these things to me…”
Jiro can’t quite handle what he’s hearing. He had heard it involved scrubbing Kanade in the baths, but surely it didn’t get more extreme than that? Kanade replied (to his thought) that no, it doesn’t get much more extreme, and Jiro finally cracked and asked her what the hell did she order his girlfriend to do? Kanade told him to not get so angry, it doesn’t matter if Subaru as her butler got slightly intimate with her right? From Subaru’s reaction Jiro doesn’t buy the excuse it was just ‘slightly’ intimate. His mind wandered, and he decided there’s no way Kanade and Subaru have some Yuri development between them. Probably.
Kanade asked if he understands what being her butler involves now, and he still doesn’t. He’s so nervous he won’t be surprised if he has stomach ulcers later on. Kanade got up and decided to tell him with simpler methods what his job involves. Obviously, it means using his body. Jiro reflexively thought he needs to escape, NOW, but Kanade latched onto him and pushed him down. Jiro panicked and told Kanade to get off of him. Kanade says this is part of her butler’s job, and Jiro inwardly snarked this is a hug-pillow’s job, not a butler’s. Kanade revealed she used to hug Subaru all the time like this, and sleep in the same bed at night. Jiro looked at Subaru, alarmed, and Subaru hastily said nothing happened between the two of them. Kanade agreed, but said Subaru had all kinds of sleeptalk back then – like “Ah… Kana-chan… Don’t… if you touch there I… this is so embarrassing…”, and things like that. Subaru denied vehemently she ever said anything like that, red-faced and waving her arms around.
Kanade found Jiro’s cured of his gynophobia, and decided to reward him by hugging him very tightly. Jiro’s nose was invaded by Kanade’s scent and his body feels like it’s being enveloped by marshmallows. His heart was beating wildly and he thought at this rate he might relapse and his gynophobia will be back. Kanade pulled out her ‘derechuki’ mode, and Jiro was almost won over and thought he wouldn’t mind being toyed around like this every day from now on.
Subaru to the side was unhappy with this development, and also went to hug Jiro. Subaru went into ‘dere’ mode, being jealous of Jiro going head over heels for Kanade, and Jiro is overwhelmed by her cuteness overload. Subaru and Kanade bicker over whether Subaru is jealous or not, while saying they both have a right to hug Jiro being their lover/servant respectively. Jiro’s feeling like his heart will give out soon from the two girls tightly hugging him, and wished someone will come in and save him before he faints.
Doorbell rings, Kanade and Subaru call a truce for now, and Jiro got up to answer the door. He thought no matter how bad this new development can get he won’t be hugged suddenly. He was wrong. He got tackled by Kureha, who gave him a bearhug. The bones on his back started creaking and his eyes rolled over. Kureha finally released him by Shure’s prompting. Shure told Jiro everyone’s talking about this morning’s development at school.
Kureha asked what does Subaru love about Jiro. Kanade is also curious. Kureha says she’s asking to see what will her future sister-in-law will be like. Jiro thinks Kanade is pouring oil onto the fire – or rather, rocket fuel instead, Subaru is blushing bright enough to fly to the moon. Eventually Subaru held back her embarrassment enough and said: “everything about him”. Everybody here, including Kanade, was shocked silent. Kureha asks if she heard correctly, since to her Jiro has a lot of faults like hard to get him up in the mornings and can’t cook, all he has going for him is a surprisingly strong body… Jiro asks Kureha to speak with a bit more tact, and Kureha says instead her brother is one of those rare useless people you see in humanity’s history, does Subaru really like him? Jiro snarks “how was that more tact?!”. Subaru says she likes those parts of Jiro as well, and she has some faults too. They can make up for each other’s faults later on. Kureha accepts that, then went onto to plan out how many kids Jiro and Subaru will have, what names to give them, etc.
Shure interrupts at this point, saying they are here to ask Subaru something so could they deal with that first. Nakuru came in, and asked if Subaru knew about she had two fan clubs, the Mimamorugai and the S4. Nakuru is here as a representative to both sides. Jiro’s worried the fan clubs are here to blame Subaru for lying to them all this time. It turns out though, Nakuru is here asking Subaru to go on a date with her. Jiro’s thought pattern goes to ‘wait, what?’, while Shure says Subaru is Jiro’s boyfriend and can’t just cheat on him. Jiro thought Shure has a personality of making incidents that’s different to Kanade’s, and his thought was confirmed by asking if Jiro and Subaru can go on a double date with her and Nakuru.
Chapter ends with Jiro thinking you can never predict the Narumi sisters.
