Well, I was trying to install Azureus in my PC which requires this java software. I downloaded the offline installation file from the sun website

However, I was unable to install java properly as it gives off errors which go along the lines: "installation files corrupted. Contact system admins...". I tried re-downloading the file and even using regclean to fix my registry, all to no avail.

Any help is appreciated.

so I take it you used: http://java.sun.com/webapps/download...?BundleId=9505 ?

other than that do you ever get currupted files from the internet or have any other simliar problems? So far this seems rather confusing unless somehow you downloaded the wrong version or have curruption issues wit h your pc itself/inet connection.

Yeah, that's the exact file version which I've downloaded and no... I haven't had these kinds of issues before. Java used to work in my PC perfectly.

try installing the sdk then, you'll loose ~50 megs or so if you succeed, but hey atleast it will work or you could try the automatic installation for the jre:

if none of these work, you've got much deeper problems, or the world is agianst you
