^ I think it's just a "what-if" scenario. Seems that there's no particular idea behind each decades, just an estimate how the anime will look like if it was drawn with the corresponding decade's trending drawing style

They overdid Mio's eyes there.

The general expression is pretty 90s-esque (the wide, fangy smile) but those eyes are overly grotesque.

80s Mio looks good, though. That does accurately reflect 80s style.

lol I already own a pair of Ray-Ban glasses very similar to Yui's due to stigmatism eye problems. I really like that 60's vintage look, and too be honest I don't like wearing mine much! It seems like there will be an increase of people wearing wayfarers in Japan

I doubt that...

the original image is only 920x538 actually. That one seems to be enlarged and also given black borders on top and bottom to match a wallpaper resolution. Hence why the image is kinda jaggy.

Yup, that's her alright. You can also tell by her eye color

(She and Mugi are the only ones whose eye color different from their hair)
