Bleach Soundtrack Discussion

Bleach's composer Shiro Sagisu is a GENIOUS IMO. If you dont know already he also composed for Neon Genesis Evangelion. So anyways, one of my favorite songs is "never meant to belong". By far one of the best songs in an anime i have ever listened to.

What's your favorite song in the OST ?

I'd have to agree with your comments about Sagisu as he is up there with Nobuo Uematsu on my favourite composers list. As for the Bleach OST, 'Never Meant to Belong' would be my pick. <sigh> if only I played the violin.

Also 'Number One' by Hazel Fernandez I think it's called, would be my other pick. Before I knew what it was called I used to call it the 'Ichigo does cool stuff song' because its played whenever he does something extraordinary.

I wish the instrumental of Number One played a lot of times (one i remember is when Chad is rushin towards Shunsui after his story) was in the soundtrack. That was one hella remix/instrumental.

But yeah Bleach music is quality Shiro Sagisu is realy really good.

'Never meant to belong' is one of the saddest tunes i heard, and "Will to the Heart" is really...both sad and uplifting at the same time.

The music for fight scenes are perfect too. Plus I really like the distortion and guitars in "Creeping Shadows", "batlle Ignition" and also "on the precipice of defeat".

Yes, I agree. The genre and instrumentation of each of the pieces gives it a certain, I dunno. But it's all appropriate, like the distortion for the fight scenes. Or the flute in Comical World. Who would've thought a song like that could be used for a stuffed lion?

Now I know i'm not the only one who does this, but I love listening to the soundtrack while reading the manga.

Love matching the songs for the right mood of whats going on in the manga.

Like i'll put "head in clouds" when the characters are in a more comical environment, "requiem for the lost ones" and "will of the heart" when its a flashback, "enemy unseen" when the enemy is kicking ass in a fight, "heat of battle" when the fight is going down, "never meant to belong" when its a sad part. You feel me people haha.

The soundtrack of Bleach is so far "not bad", there are a few top notch tracks like the Nr.1 instrumental or Nothing can be explained but I know that Shiro can do better.
The His and Her Circumstances OST of him is better by far.
